2001 Ford Ranger
Fit good, they are thinner but much better than having only one that was about to rust in half! Satisfied

Great replacement
Fit perfectly and look just like the originals. I ordered these but the day before they arrived one of the originals ( 2002 Ford Ranger ) broke. Installation was straight forward, with a simple and methodical approach. There is a washer between tailgate and mounting bolt which can slide out of place. Bolt head is a torx head either 40 or 45.

Fit 2000 Ford Ranger tailgate fine
4 stars just because although they fit my 2000 Ford Ranger tailgate, they are thin, almost 1/2 the diameter of the originals so I don't know how long they'll last. Of the thick originals, one lasted for 25 years, the other 24, so these are probably going to be fine despite being thinner.

Tailgate cable (Ford Ranger
Works perfectly with the nice touch of shrink tubing on the crimps. They are 1/4" shorter then the OEM cables but can't see the difference when tailgate is down (might be due to original was 21 years old and stretched out). Did a little stress testing with 205lbe after installing (I jumped up and down on the tailgate and they held well). They were shipped in a nice heavy duty reusable plastic container.

Sealed Cables
My original tailgate cables did not have anything protecting them from corrosion... they failed. These replacements are sealed, which keeps moisture and salt from reaching the steel cables. A fantastic part well worth my money
