Powerful motor. 3 pound barrel. My favorite tumbler.
I have several rock tumblers and this is the most reliable and highest quality of the bunch. It has no problem turning a heavy barrel that bring my other tumblers to a halt. This is a pricier model and you can get two cheap tumblers for the price of this one. If you are buying for a young child and suspect they will lose interest after a few batches, you might not need this tumbler. Otherwise, I think this tumbler is a great way to go. Keep in mind, this is made of plastic and not indestructible. The huge metal professional tumblers cost about $1k. There are tumblers with metal housings around this price, which may be more outwardly durable. They are a good choice if your kids plan on throwing their rock tumbler off a roof. I had a rock tumbler of that style and it only lasted for a few batches and died. Others said they short circuit and could cause fires. Kids who throw rock tumblers off roofs may like a bit of pyrotechnics, but since most of us leave our tumblers unsupervised in garages and basements, the fire hazard is a deal breaker. Those tumblers also don’t have multiple speeds or a timer. TL/DR. This is the best tumbler in this price range.

It’s a good tumbler and not very expensive. I will buy another 👍🏽
Awesome rock tumbler. I love it. The best one I’ve used yet. I love the large 3lb barrel. Haven’t missed a beat I’ve been running it since I got it and the belt that came on it is still rocking and rolling it’s been almost 2 months. AWESOME!!!!

Good tumbler but belts need improvement
On the one I purchased, the belt broke after 2 weeks. Put on the replacement belt (included) and it broke as well after 3 weeks. Contacted seller and to my surprise, they didn't send a replacement belt, they sent an entire new tumbler so now i have two of these. The belts on Amazon are pricy, about $17 each. I went to my local ACE Hardware store and bought a "medium O-ring assortment kit" for $7 which includes 6 rubber o-rings, at least 4 of which will fit the tumbler. Problem solved! I also purchased a spray can of rubber belt treatment/conditioner at O'Reilly auto parts to spray on the O-rings. Aside from the belt issue, this is a great little tumbler which I believe the o-ring solution should work just fine. Very pleased!

Must have tumbler
This has been a great addition to our home. My grandson loves gems and we are able to teach him how to take something bland and make it magnificent. He is not quite old enough to use by himself, however, my husband who has a paralyzed arm is able to use this tumbler. Only downside is the noise but that is to be expected from a tumbler. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Doing its job well
Cool toy. I collect rocks when I'm walking my dog and this sits in the garage and cranks away so far so good. I'm only posting this because I had posted a question and now found the answer. I lost the knob and wanted to know how to replace it. Turns out I had a nut kit and the 39-M6 fit, so I can just use that with a washer and it will work fine. However, I also wanted a replacement knob, just search for "star knobs with female thread".

Didn’t last long
Worked for a couple of months for one full batch, rocks came out decent, the container is very sturdy and indeed leakproof. Unfortunately the tumbler started squeaking really really really bad so I oiled the rotors and the extremely brittle belt then it stopped working. Probably too much oil got into the wrong place but the tool needed to unscrew the belt section must be very thin and long and I don’t have one. It’d be nice if this came with one, along with a replacement belt and oiling instructions…which might be in the book I just didn’t see it. Anyways I gotta get a new one. This time I’m buying one where the belt is exposed for easy access.

My partner loves this
Got this for my lady for Christmas. She's a rock hound, and can now make them look even prettier. It's not too loud (in the garage). Well built, and the 3 pound capacity seems about right for the average enthusiast. The picture attached are the included sample rocks after tumbling. As far as hobbies go, this is affordable. The media is pretty inexpensive.
