Effective laptop security device
I bought this product as I work in the public area of a school, and I frequently leave my laptop on my desk for short periods unattended. The seller’s pictures, which are accurate, make it obvious how the device works. The screen on my laptop doesn’t attach to the very back of the chassis, meaning the chassis extends for a further inch beyond the hinge of the laptop screen, as per my picture attached, and I wondered if this would prevent me attaching the device, but there was plenty of room to accommodate the protrusion. A buyer should consider that if a determined thief attempted to remove the laptop from the device, the screen might suffer damage if it were pressed hard against the metal clips. However the device seems robust and well-made and would likely act as an effective deterrent against anyone attempting a theft. I recommend it.

Good fix for a broken hinge
I didn't need this for security but had a laptop with two broken hinges. I tried to repair it with duct tape but the monitor kept falling over. I replaced my laptop for carrying around but the old one is perfectly usable for at home use. This little gem holds the screen in place without letting it fall backwards and forwards. Thank you!

was not my first choice
i got this to secure a laptop for my grandson. fortunately i have some experience with figuring things out because there were no directions included. i would have liked if they had two lengths of the security bolt and a stronger cap nut. but i will remedy this. all in all the product is good, i only gave it 3 stars because the installation directions were not included.
