Great product
I have used this product before and it is great. One thing that drives me crazy is when you order these and they are over 18 months past the expiration date, the one I got was well within that, so I was happy. I use the 4200 if I think I may have to remove the item in the future, if I never want it to come lose I use the 5200.

Quality product
This sealant is excellent. Cure time gives plenty of work time while fast enough to get back on the water quickly. Being in a tube makes easy to dispense and spread. It stands up to weather and vibration great. The adhesion is great and has held strong not had a single drop of water get by. Cleanup is easy if you do it right away. Great value in sealants.

A bit pricey, but the king of marine sealants
This product is very popular among boaters as it has been tested and proven over the years. Before ordering, you should be aware that 3M makes this, the 4200, as a sealant that can eventually be removed if needed. They also make 5200 which is intended to bond permanently, as in prepare to be destructive if you need to undo the bond. So, with that said, think of 4200 as a super high quality marine version of bathroom caulk/adhesive sealant. With that in mind, use it for all leaks and repairs with the knowledge that if you ever have to "undo" anything, you can. And keep the 5200 in mind when you really, really, really want to bond something for life.4200 is obviously more expensive than traditional bathroom caulks, but you are paying for 3M's years of testing and research, as well as years of testing in the field by boaters around the world. This product has a great, well-earned reputation as a no-nonsense sealant. I bought a tube to fix a leak on the flybridge of my boat, and of course once applied, my leak is no more. Just be sure to clean the area well, with acetone, before applying (as you should with any sealant).
