Purchased this little fan and plugged it into my charging port on my Pixel XL. It slowly and intermittently spun for about 5 seconds and then it just completely died. Later that night I noticed my phone battery was getting low so I plugged the charger into it and waited for it to charge up. About 4 hours later I checked to see if my phone was fully charged but it wasn't! My battery was dying while it was on the charger!!! I panicked because it was down to only 30% left. Then I got the thought to restart my phone which somehow made the charging port work again. I am just so glad that I had it on battery saver or my phone would have been dead and there would have been no way to restart my phone because it would have had no power and the charger wasn't charging it. I have read other reviews of similar fans where the same thing happened to the phone but the person didn't know that they had to restart their phone to make the charging port work again so it killed their phone and then the phone was useless. Never able to charge up again!

I got something similar to this at a career fair, and fell in love with it. When I got a new phone -- one of those fancy USBC ones -- the previous fan, which supported microUSB and Apple Lightning (or whatever it's called), was no longer useful for me. Accordingly, I had to get a new one.This one is great -- the fan sits a bit higher than the base, so friction is minimal; and it comes pretty far out of the phone, so you get better airflow. I love it -- it's quite powerful!I only wish there were an easy way to carry it around with you all day.

I've purchased several mobile phone fans over the last two years. This seems to be the one with the best output, possibly from having a better connection through a USB C port, or possibly better construction. Item does need a single step of assembly - connect blade to base by simply pushing them together. Fan blade stays connected. This keeps me cool after boarding planes, waiting for the subway, and other places the heat and humidity gets to me. Can event turn phone upside down and prop it against my computer to use it hands free. Battery does not at all drain quickly. Pretty surprising how little battery it uses for the strong wind it creates. Battery usage is probably similar to watching video or reading emails with screen brightness on high. Can use the fan over an hour and much more without draining the phone's battery.

UPDATE: Fan died 2 months ago. I'm only now changing my review. Bummer It worked well initially but died. I thought it was my phone battery (which I had to replace anyway) but learned the fan was defective.Compact fan that works as promised. I've had this for a week and use this at the gym when I run. So far, so good. Only improvement I'd suggest in future designs is to extend the length of the arm that the fan attaches to. This was it can rest on most of the cardio machines that have a shelf. The shelves are too deep which prevent the blade from turning.

This fan has saved me in many of my meetings. I tend to get very hot when I'm in office so this is nice to have in my pocket to just plug in my phone and use on the spot. It is a little loud, and after extended use it can get a little hot. But I love this thing, and many of my coworkers have asked me where I got it. It would make a excellent gift for anyone that hates the heat.

If you are always hot and like to be able to cool off quickly with little effort, it's great to keep at your desk or in your purse. The only issue I have is there aren't any features for starting and stopping. As soon as you attach it to your phone it starts and you have to pull it out without hitting your fingers to stop it. Granted, it rubber so it's not like you are going to get cut or anything. But it's a durable rubber and for the price, you can't beat it.

I bought this for my August trip to Universal Studios in Orlando. Temperature gets up to 95 degrees and is very humid and this little thing kept me really cool! I'm blown away by how powerful it is for being very small. This made my hot trip more bearable. 10/10 would buy it again.Note: After a few minutes of it being on, it can get very hot towards the bottom.
