My best friend, her little girl, and I like to do little projects and bake together. We were so excited to open this up and see the goodies all pre-measured and ready to go. However, I was disappointed that a company who knew we wouldn’t have baking powder assumed we would have parchment paper. The recipe itself wasn’t good. We followed it exactly. The cookies were dry and hard and not sweet and candy wouldn’t melt until cookies were nearly burned.Long story short: go to the supermarket and measure your own ingredients. You will save money and get an edible product that a five year old will eat! Waste of money.

I’ve been buying my kids more experience gifts. Since they love to cook and bake, I thought this would be a great gift.The girls had a great time mixing and baking. The cookies didn’t turn out quite right because I didn’t have parchment paper. This is partially my own fault for not reading the ingredients and supplies we needed to supply before starting but I wouldn’t expect a kid’s baking kit to require parchment paper.The candies were all melted/stuck together and I (as an adult) had a hard time separating them. The candies also had to be crushed. I ended up doing this with a meat hammer. Again, this is not really a kid activity.The suggestion was to crush the candies with a glass but this didn’t work. The recipe called for separating the candies by color. In one of the boxes, there were 2 candies for each color of the 3 colors. In the other box, there was 3 of one color and 3 different colored candies.I did like that the kit had pre-measured and labeled ingredients and the cookie cutters.

Definitely not worth the money. I will return. $29.95 for 1/4 cup sugar, similar flour, a few decorative candies and a recipe - rip off.

My 7 yr old daughter had lots of fun baking the cookies. They came out beautiful, tasted good, the candies melted nicely before the cookies were ready. I gave only 4 stars cuz its quite pricey for what we are getting.

Very disappointed as the box of ingredients is less than half as big as the photo. This is also JUST ingredients that you can buy at the grocery store.

I am a teacher in a pre-school class and my flower cookies are fantastic. It was easy baking and loads of fun. I loved the educational part to it. It is the most amazing project!
