I gave it 4 on the install, because it does take a bit to figure out if you haven't done this kind of thing before ( i had not) and while my install was not perfect, the end result was. It is expensive, so it is frustrating when you waste a piece because you don't have the install part down. Granted, that is ultimately on me, but I think I fall into the 'average' user category. We loved this stuff so much, we bought more, put it on more windows, and ended up having a professional product/install on our huge front windows.Also note that this blocks UV rays, so don't put it on a window that is 'feeding' your plants. They will wither and die. Anyway, I strongly recommend, especially if you have a window that just gets beat on by the sun. It has made a huge difference this summer.

Not easy, but worth the effort. I was doing the windows of my garage door. One package was not quite enough to finish by 1/2 of a window. The last four windows on the left are not done in the picture. I found peeling the film easy, I sprayed both sides with soapy water and used a credit card as suggested in other reviews and the hanging went well once I cut the pieces so I didn’t have to trim them. This is plexiglass and the frame had an overhang, which was probably why trimming it was difficult.

I am including pics from exterior side of window showing visibility which is zero. I am also included pics of tinted vs I tinted window side by side. Room instantly felt cooler on inside and more private from outside. I would recommend scraping glass with a razor and polishing with microfiber before installation to prevent bubbles and cutting to size before removing backing. Good product.

Easy to install with two people and if you follow the instructions. Recommend spraying on more water than you think as you can squeegee it out and it makes install easier. We put the film on three arched windows that do not open. We live in Phoenix, AZ and these windows are on our second story and face due west (It's HOT). They provided the additional sun deflection we were looking for without overly darkening the room. Bonus is that you can't see in from the outside any longer. Wish we would have found this product years ago! We are now planning on installing the film on our east facing sliding patio doors.

I got the idea after getting a window replacement quote and they said I should have low e glass to protect the sun from heating the house. My house faces West and okra that room had the thermostat. The heats from the windows, even tho the blinds are closed, cause it to heat up so much that the a/c runs constantly. Bought this to reduce the heat and honestly it helps, and yes hot summer this year. I really noticed a difference. One drawback is that you room is darker, just a bit. But love that no one can see through you windows during the day. Far cheaper than window replacement.

We ordered this to filter light from the skylight in our motorhome. Returned it. It totally did not, would not stick AT ALL. Fell right off. Edit: the first package came with no instructions and no tabs to pull the film off. Seller sent us a new one WITH instructions and tabs to separate the film. It is holding up so far. Only been on a few days but staying in place do far and definitely makes an enormous difference in heat and light reduction in motorhome shower skylight. The skylight surface is a bit textured, so not sure if it will stay on, but so far so good. Big props to the seller for working to make it right

My bedroom faces the lighted parking lot at the apartment complex. I like a very dark room to sleep in. The vertical blinds that are in the apartment kept my room way too light for me to sleep.I am sleeping much better now that I have this film on my window.Another benefit is the cooling effect from the film. My window also has the sun shining on it in the mornings and afternoons, in summer it gets very warm in my room. My room doesn't get as hot now.

It’s a very cool color. Keeps the sun out of my bedroom. But I am having trouble keeping it on the window. Had to tape it in spots. Disappointed about that
