I’m impressed! This product works! Cleanly cuts your medicine in half. Way safer and cleaner than using a steak knife and cutting board. This product practically pays for itself if you’ve ever lost or smashed pills you were trying to do this using your own way.It’s quiet and you can store your half pills in the storage well. Product is well designed and made. The wheel allows you to adjust for the size of pill that you are slicing in half.

I got this for my smaller round supplement tablets just as the product description show. Works perfect. But I couldn't find anything that looked like it would really work for the much bigger elongated tablets. If you're in the same boat, I figured out a modification on this one that works great for the big elongated tablets. I simply sliced away part of that white silicon cushion on both sides with a razor blade box cutter. Pics attached. It cut away very easily. First, adjust to unit to almost full-open such that the black plastic sides beyond the silicon will fit the elongated tablet width. Then for each side, cut on 2 sides into the silicon to set the tablet width of the slot, and then cut in from the top along the back-edge between your 2 cuts to cut the little remaining silicon underneath that's holding it. In the almost full open position, it's now wide enough to support a 3/4 inch long tablet. It will open up a little wider too for an even longer tablet (about to 7/8 inch). And there's enough of that silicon cushion remaining to still do the smaller round tablets just like product description shows. (Just not 6 at a time anymore!) That silicon extendes back underneath the black plastic, so that even with those cuts, it's still a full connected silicon cushion on the left and right sides. (ie, the silicon is not dangling because of the cuts I did.) This is a useful modification! I bought this 2nd one to do this experiment on. I guess I'll keep the 1st one for smaller round tablets anyway! Remember, this is my modication, it doesn't come this way! And I picked the center spot only because I didn't know the full construction of the silicon, but it could have been toward the bottom or top now too.

So in terms of cutting pills directly in half, and multiple ones at that, this is perfect. You can line up 4/5 pills, tighten the sides so that they are held perfectly in place, and then it will cut right through them essentially perfectly: no crumbling or little pieces breaking off (if you cut it while it's loose though, this might happen).However, my issue arises afterwards, when I want to now cut those pills into quarters. When you are cutting circular pill that has already been cut in half, you're essentially cutting a half moon. This means that the pill needs to be lined up perfectly down the middle horizontally.It also DOES ADVERTISE AS CUTTING PILLS INTO 1/4, 1/8, ETC. To quote the product page directly: "【Easy to Use】Just place the pills in the cutter, adjust 2 bars that ensure the pills stay in place. Then you press the top down evenly—push in the center. It can cut your tablet/vitamin/supplement into 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 easily."The sides that you tighten to normally achieve this when the pill is hole are NOT suitable for this. As you tighten it, because the pill is not a perfect circle, you see the pill start to rotate. If you do not place this half pill PERFECTLY (which requires it to be offset a bit), it will line it up not down the middle, but instead into like a 1/3 and 2/3 split.So, this does NOT cut pills neatly into quarters (1/4). If your tablet was either rectangular or EXTREMELY LARGE, it probably would do it very well. But for normal pills, once you put that cut half into there and try and tighten it, it starts lining up poorly.The mechanism that makes this cutter ideal for cutting pills PERFECTLY IN HALF is also what makes it unsuitable for cutting pills into quarters. I love the machine for what it does, but just wish I had realized that based on its design before I bought it. I have tons of pills I have to split in half which this is GREAT FOR, but tons that I ALSO need to split into quarters which this is...less than ideal for.So, in short: this cutter is GREAT at splitting pills in half, whatever their shape or size, because of how you can tighten the sides in a vice like way. However, what makes it perfect for that almost makes it unsuitable for cutting pills into bits smaller than halves.So I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS ENOUGH FOR SPLITTING PILLS IN HALF, ESPECIALLY MULTIPLE PILLS. However, if you are like me and need to subsequently split some of those up into quarters, it is not very suitable for that.Great product, great design for what it does, I just wish I HAD REALIZED how it would be more difficult to use it to cut circles into quarters instead of halves. It doesn't say it will specifically cut into quarters, but it does advertise I would give it 4.5/5 if I could.

Best pill cutter we’ve ever used. After two years, starting to dull. Does a good job even with cutting pills into quarters (need to spend a little time placing the pills on the bottom tray).Plus no easy way to cut your fingers.Hope our next one lasts as long as our current one.

Perfect to use when you have arthritis as this pill cutter doesn’t require much force from you to work. Perfect for my aging mother.

I decided to give this model a try to be able to cut the whole weeks worth of pills at one time. It does work great especially on the small pills I have to take which are normally pretty awkward to cut in half. The largest ones that my husband has don’t quite fit even on the largest setting so I have to put them in at an angle which cuts them a bit diagonally leaving a sharp point. As long as you don’t have any absolutely enormous pills this works great.
