Great book for everyone starting out
I am an adult returner to piano and am teaching my child to play. Back in the day, exam grades were so tedious because you had to learn classical music and there wasnt much choice either. With the new ABRSM exams, there are some newer songs to choose from and this book has the ones you can play for any exam up to grade 3.I've been learning all the pieces myself and I think it's easy to read, the dynamics are well marked throughout and it is of a suitable level of difficulty for beginners.I especially like how you can download mp3s of how each piece is supposed to sound. There isn't any direction in this book other than the music itself, so I wouldn't recommend this as a means of learning the piano but some easy and popular songs, this is great.I'd also say that at the price and getting 20 music pieces, it's excellent value for money.

Very nice arrangements
I am currently playing pieces at grade 3 and was looking for some graded pop music arrangements to spice things up a bit. This book is perfect for me. Most arrangements sound really nice and you can download MP3 recordings from the publisher's website for reference. I even use some of the initial grade pieces as warm up exercises as you can just pick them up and play them.Overall, I found the grade 2 and 3 pieces in this book are on the easier side. No crazy syncopation or ornaments like in the classical repertoire. This means that I can learn those pieces faster which is a fun way to supplement my classical repertoire.

Great arrangements, some of the tunes a bit an ancient!
The arrangements in here are very good. I have been using them with students who like them. Some of the tunes are a bit ancient though, so I think the selection of tunes could be better.

Great songs for ABRSM grades 1-3
The songs in this ABRSM book are great. I have just passed my Grade 1 using Imagine as one of the B choices.I plan to use The Joker and the Queen for my grade 2.I also enjoy playing the other songs for fun.The book includes grade 1 - 3 songs so should be useful for a couple of years.

Some great pop music
What a fantastic book, i have taken up a hobby learning piano a few years ago and i am doing my grading at 33! This book gives me a break from the classical music i normally learn. It’s nice to learn some pop music so the ones that don’t know classical pieces when i play in front of them know these pieces so it makes me look amazing. Some great pieces.

Not good value for students.
I bought this book for just the one song 'No time to die' which is on the current 25/26 ABRSM grade 3 repertoire list in relation to the performance exam for grade 3, so for me personally it wasn't great value for money. Only two of the songs in the book were on the 25/26 list and only four are grade 3 standard at all. The rest are a mix of initial, grade 1 and grade 2 songs. Not at all sure who this book would be good value for except maybe teachers who will be dealing with students of different grades. Had to buy it though because the pitifully limited 9 songs in the standard ABRSM grade 3 repertoire book for 25/26 are all too typically uninspiring. More money grabbing me thinks? Have all the best songs picked from other books? This is their own publication so extra money assured? ...and makes me wonder how many of the other books that contain their repertoire picks they get any income from? Seems odd to me that ABRSM themselves can't produce a book with the full repertoire in it or provide a complete set of digital downloads that can be chosen from in a pick 'n' mix kind of way - guess there's less profit in that?
