However, one night 4 years later, under the glare of a full moon, Richter mysteriously vanished. With no idea where to begin her search, Maria Renard set out to look for him. It was then that fate intervened. Castlevania, the castle of Dracula, which is rumored to appear once every century, suddenly materialized from out of the mist as if to show her the way. Meanwhile, powerful forces were struggling for the soul of a man named Alucard. The very same Alucard who had teamed up with Trevor Belmont to battle his immortal father, Count Vlad Tepes Dracula. Alucard, in order to purge the world of his own cursed blood line, had submerged his vampiric powers and entered into what was supposed to be an eternal slumber. Great rendition - ignore the haters
I don't understand the negative reviews this game gets, and all of the hate towards it. I owned the original Castlevania SoTN in 1997, and beat it 2-3 times. It's arguably one of the best video games ever released, or certainly in the top 5. I recently sold my copy on eBay, and bought this in it's place, and have no regrets. If you had the original, what you'll notice is that some of the dialog is different, but the change is generally for the better. I find the trophies fun that they have added, and also the use of the vibration and sound from the PS4 controller.My only gripe about the game was the borders that show up when you play the game. I am by no means an expert, but I am guessing to update things to higher definition, this sacrifice had to be made. You can either play the game as is with the borders, or use a stretch function on your TV to get full screen. Sure, it'll distort the picture a bit, but you won't notice it for long.If you're looking to play SoTN on PS4, go for it, and forget the negative reviews.

Two of the best in the castlevania series on one disc
Castlevania symphony of the night is one of the best Castlevania games ever made. Right behind it is Castlevania Rondo of blood another amazing game. If you haven’t played these games before both are a must play.

Rough around the edges
This is an old game. It also isn’t widescreen and the edges are a picture which I found really random. The hit boxes are broke AF.
