So many opportunities for learning in play
The media could not be loaded. Melissa and Doug toys always amaze me with the details included to maximize learning during play. I got this toy for my 9 month old but was questioning the size of the people inserts from the pictures so I was pleased when they came and were decently sized (see pictures). My baby became really interested in this starting at 11-12 months: he pushes the bus around, presses the button to get the circles out, opens the door, and puts the people in. As a speech pathologist I LOVE that not only can we talk about all these actions while playing, but Melissa and Doug also included other subtle details such as shapes, colors, people traits.➕ Comes assembled➕ Pleasing color scheme that isn't too bright➕ A plethora of learning opportunitiesOverall I am very pleased with the quality of the materials and the play it facilitates; I would buy again

My toddler loves it
My 17mos old loves this wooden bus and the 3 coins that come with it that features 6 characters. I appreciate that the characters represent diverse backgrounds! My daughter enjoys dropping in each coin and watching it roll to the end of the bus. Then pressing the blue button in top, all the coins/people roll out. Great cause and effect lesson there. She also enjoys that when you roll the bus along the coins/people inside go up and down just like in the song “Wheels on the Bus”. I was worried this toy might be too simple for my toddler but she is really enjoying the “Wheels on the Bus” song so this is a nice toy to go along with this new obsession of hers!

Sturdy wooden toy
I read the reviews before buying and thought they were kind of a misrepresentation of the product. Yes..there is a character in hijab but I didn't care. I doubt most toddlers would have an issue with such a thing. I live in a small town where toys often go on clearance if they depict African American characters. In fact, I found a Night Before Christmas book on a shelf at walmart for 3 bucks today but only the version with a black Santa and family. Bought it for next Christmas. I digress...this toy is well made and is wooden. The coins are pretty large so you don't have to worry about your little swallowing them. There is a button to let them off of the bus and they roll across the floor. Worth the buy.

Well made
This is a well designed little toy that will hold a 10 month to one year old’s interest for short intervals as you show them how to press the button and eject the “kids” from the bus. 12-14 month olds will be able to push the button themselves to eject the “kids” and will enjoy sliding them into the slots or opening and shutting the door. We had no issues with the durability of this toy, and it gets regular use.

Keeps my 1 year old entertained
I love that this is a non electronic toy that is able to hold my 1 year olds attention quite well. She loves trying to put the pieces in the slot, opening and closing the door, and pushing the button on top. Eventually I’m sure she will learn it moves on wheels and will enjoy that as well.

1 year old loves it
Purchased for 1 year old, but 2 older siblings (6 & 4) also love it too. Sturdy. Bright colors. I personally love the depiction of the diverse children on the bus. Would absolutely purchase again. Makes a great gift.

Loved By Both Kids!
I got this for my niece's 1st birthday - she loved it! She figured out how to push the button for the round people to come out after watching us do it a couple of times. The unexpected part was that my 4 year old nephew was just as excited about it and took it for himself! (We encouraged him to give it back and wait until she was done playing with it.) Simple, cute, well-made, good fine-motor practice, and lots of fun.
