We are using them as an educational tool to explain different irrigation systems from around the world.

Good but very expensive . The water lasts for about 3 days outdoor in UAE summer climate. I don't know it's sold at this price it's just clay jar.

Have found these vessels will water my pots for up to 7 days. Living in the hot tropics, this make for a great saving in time and water. Going away for a week is no longer a problem.

I live in Arizona and it gets dry and hot. My favorite gardener recommends olla and I found these to be a great price and size for what I needed. I just asked for and received a second set for my birthday. They were packaged well and arrived safely. I like the lid to keep out mosquitos and limit evaporation. So far they seem to work well. I can skip days between watering and my plants are doing well. I'm pleased with these for my smaller pots and look forward to getting the new ones installed, too.

I like it saved my plant over a vacation period. Think about the pots your putting them in because digging out the dead plant and then the terracotta watering planter carefully so as not to break it can be more work than anticipated. I think this would work best for indoor plants that will not be re-potted for a long time. Most especially newer plants since older plants can be damaged digging a hole in the dirt for placement as they have more roots to avoid.
