Samsung Chromebook 3 XE500C13 Replacement Screen (Original Version)

This replacement for a Samsung Chromebook 3 XE500C13-K02US arrived packed well. Installation was fairly easy. Take time and ensure you seat the connector properly and the small bar pushed back over the connector. The screen comes with side mounting tabs made out of a very thin metal and they do get bent very easily. (During shipping or by the installer (me)?) But they were easily bent back into the proper position to complete the installation. There are numerous "how to" videos online for replacing the screen. Fantastic options on Amazon to buy these screens at about 60% of the cost of other sites that inflate the prices with "free tools" that you do not need to complete the installation. All you really need is a very small Phillips screwdriver. All reviews are results-oriented and the same is true here: The screen worked, has great crispness, very bright and I cannot distinguish any qualitative difference between this replacement screen and the original.

Took us watching a YT video for five mins, a mini philipps, and a little patience but we had this on in about ten minutes. The screen comes well packaged in bubble wrap and has a protective sheet on it that made replacement even easier. Literally no difference between the original screen and this one. Has a beautiful matte finish and great resolution. Be careful with the 30-pin as it is a delicate piece but a good instructional video and you've got it. I've never done it before and I'm not tech inclined. Just wanted to not buy a new one. I pried the old screen off with fingernails btw so I didn't have to buy any special tools. I used the screwdriver in my eyeglass repair kit as well. Fast shipper and so far so great!

The screen arrived flawless and was the perfect fit, as described. Installation should be no problem for the average person with basic mechanical skills. However, if you're worried about swapping it out yourself, there are numerous videos available on YouTube to guide you through. In the months since it was purchased, it's been every bit as reliable and clear as the original. Overall, I'm very grateful that I was able to fix my teen's laptop at a fraction of the cost of hiring a professional. :)

My daughter broke her screen and bought this to replace it. It shipped well and was easy to install. It worked really well. the only problem that I found was the pricing. I bought this for $61 plus tax(without tax it was $57) but when I checked a few days later, the price dropped down to $55. Kinda bumed out that I could have saved a few bucks. But besides that it was great! I saw a few reviews saying that there was a weird marking on the screen that would not go away. I found out that it was the covering so if you experience the same thing, just check if there is a screen protector.

My daughter stepped on her Chromebook and the screen broke (man are Chromebooks pretty cool but I digress). We ordered this and did the repair together. My hat is off to Samsung as they engineered their product so that screen replacement is easy, but this replacement screen is perfect in every way. My daughter thinks the new screen looks better than the old one but that could be just because it is new and clean ;) I think it is a very very close match to the original. Bottom line, great product, easy fix and money saved. Thank you.

Bought on a whim to see if it would help with sons damaged chromebook. It worked great! However, it didn’t come with any instructions or packaging info to make sure it was exactly the right product. Had to refer to a YouTube video... but it was a cinch to replace. Only drawback is that there is a small lettering logo embedded on bottom left of screen... it doesn’t bother my son but it might annoy others

Our original screen broke due to an unfortunate incident with a child, and I was left scrambling to find a way to replace it.
