I was able to bleed the lines on our hydraulic steering by myself in just a few minutes. Very little mess involved. Highly recommended.

This bleed kit has quick connect/disconnect fittings that make it a breeze to use. The plastic kits sold elsewhere are a pain to use. This kit with brass connections definitely worth more for the ease of use making connections. I highly recommend and would buy this again.

This Seastar replacement bleed kit was horrible. The fitting designed to be screwed into the helm pump where the bottle of new steering fluid gets attached via a hose stripped in the pump and I had to use visegrip pliers to extract it. This wasn't the worst part. The screw-on brass cap included to screw onto the new bottle of steering fluid did not fit any bottle. I even drove to West Marine and tried to get it to fit on every plastic bottle they had for sale in the store. It did not fit anything, not even a garden hose. Last and definietly least, the bleeder hose that you connect to the two bleeder nipples on the steering cylinder leaked, but leak is too generous. It was as if nothing was there and hydraulic fluid poured out of both bleeder nipples. There is now hydraulic steering fluid all over the deck of my boat. Total junk.

I purchased this bleeder system for my sea star steering. Looks great until you hook it up at the motor and loosen the bleed valves. It leaked everywhere even before turning the steering wheel. It even leaked at the helm coupler. Tried to return for money back, but they insisted on sending me a replacement. The new set leaked the exact same way. I am currently in a chat, trying to return both sets. Don't waste your time with this!

Product made very well and bleeded my boat's system without a hitch. Did exactly what it designed to do. Pretty much an one man job! I highly recommend these over the other non-brass, plastic cheaply made bleeding kits. Great price point as well.

It worked great for filling & purging my Seastar outboard steering system. No leaks and only a couple drips when disconnecting (as expected). Minus one star because the quick connect nipple for the helm doesn't have flats for a wrench, and must be tightened or loosened with pliers.

product looks great, nice quality brass quick connect fittings, but where is the screw-in fill fitting for the helm. it's kinda hard to fill and bleed steering system without fill adapter.

I normal don't write reviews but this bleed kit is junk. Couplers leak like they aren't even there. Save your money and but the cheaper kit. Even if it leaks you not out 40 bucks for the same result. I cut the couplers off and used the hose on the motor side. The helm side leaks as well. Buy something else
