This is our newest Digital Photo Tachometer ST8030. It measures the rotational speed with a visible red light beam from a powerful LED. Just attach a reflective sticker to the rotating part or propeller and point the beam on the mark from a safe distance. This professional laser tachometer will display either rotations per minute RPM, or rotations per second RPS. This Laser Tachometer allows you to select between 1 to 9 propeller blades. Each blade gives a reflection, and simple tachometers may not take this into account, so for two blades simple tachometers may show you double the real RPM, for three blades the simple tachometer will show 3 times the real RPM. This professional tachometer allows you to enter the number of propeller blades, and it will give you the correct RPM. Therefore it is useful for all kinds of RC models, such as planes, helicopters, quad copters, boat and vehicle models. This non contact tachometer is also a great tool to measure the RPM of motors, engines and machine parts. In wood and metal working it can be used to accurately measure the speed of a lathe, drill or milling machine. This non-contact tachometer has a large display with backlight, and it has a auto shutoff after 10 min, to save battery if you forget to turn it off after the measurement.
