My daughter has been asking to sew for quite a while so when I saw this toy come across my feed I had to get it for her - we opened it a few days before Christmas to give ourselves some time to figure it out without any rush. She immediately made 3 of the projects! She was so thrilled and so proud of herself. The machine definitely takes a little getting used to, but as long as you carefully read the directions first, don’t force it in any of the wrong ways, know how to use the presser foot lifter and thread cutting aid etc, then you’ll be well on your way to a good experience with your child. Definitely wouldn’t give to any kid younger than 7 and I helped cut out the fabric. The fabric itself is NOT the best for a beginner! It has a strong stretchy bias so it bounces away from the scissors if they aren’t the best fabric scissors, and won’t stay folded which makes getting the seams flat pretty difficult. The included clips don’t work super well for that. I ended up bringing out my iron to press down the seams for her. A light cotton would be so much easier to work with. Overall, absolutely love this product, and so happy to see my daughter learning such an important skill with so much creative potential for the rest of her life. Can’t wait to level her up to an even more “real” beginner machine.

Nice toy machine

Fun at the beginning. But need an adult to help. Didn’t last long

We received this sewing machine as a Christmas gift and my kiddo was super excited to try it out. The sewing machine just beeped at us when we tried to sew and would not work. It took my Husband and I about an hour of troubleshooting and examining the machine to realize that the presser foot and presser foot lifter were broken and would not lift up after the machine senses the fabric and tries to start. Kiddo was super bummed so we returned it and decided to try one more time by ordering a replacement. Big mistake. The exact same issue happened with the second sewing machine we received. This is a defective toy and I would not recommend. It’s too bad as it looked like a really promising first sewing machine.

She needed to be shown how to handle the issue when it stopped working. Very simple if you followed the directions to line up the needle. It came with a number of projects and directions. Which were printed on very thin material. They worked beautifully with this machine. I did not see where to order more projects in the instructions. I think the machine will work on a soft cotton fabric that you could buy at Walmart. Maybe a nice quilt fabric but not batik which is very tight knit. Also I am not sure if thread can be replaced once it is used up.

My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed using her sewing machine. It was easy to use and safe. Downside is the thread is in a preloaded cartridge that is not refillable. If they can be found, the cartridges are very expensive to replace. Making this a fun toy until the thread runs out

It is a cute little sewing machine that works really well. It’s very easy after reading the instructions. My daughter was able to do it herself. I’m not gonna lie. I borrowed it a couple times and it worked for my purposes too.

This was a gift for my 8 year old and it was a huge hit! You don’t have to worry about them stitching themselves and they can make cute things already included. From what I read on the directions an adult can reload the needle and they can see more things, so I loved that it wasn’t just to sew a few projects but we can try other things as well!

Bought this for my oldest granddaughter. It was an excellent learning machine and are now buying two more as my youngest granddaughters are getting older and want to learn. It has been used for over a year and still working great.

So bad, couldn’t get it to work. One very disappointed birthday girl
