Can you use the ring rolls (the ones on the same tray as the the earring hole slots) for stud earrings including backs?

Is this made of wood or pressed cardboard??

It's not as heavy to say it's wood but it definitely is sturdy. Pressed cardboard may be in the compartments though. I believe it's multiple materials.
