Candy Shop!!
I love Nicety's work so much!! I hope she never gets bored with writing. All of her books have their own little twists and they are the always grasp your attention from the beginning and won't let you go until the sequel. She keeps her reads intrigued with what will happen next. Weather there is another part to the story or not, you will want to know what the characters will be doing after the story is over. All of the characters in her books have the ability to branchout and take on their own stories. Candy Shop was no different from all her other books, INTERESTING!! I don't want to give away any spoilers, but this book was a 5 star banger at it's best!! Candy Shop is a must read, and if you hadn't read it or any other Nicety books for that matter, then you are sleeping on some good stuff. So go ahead and one click you some Candy Shop and learn about Big Meech AKA Messiah and Redina AKA Red and find out how their lives both change dramatically after reconnecting after all these years! Avid Leo Reader
This was my first time reading a book by this author. The book wasn't bad but the thing that irked me was how it was written. It seemed that it was written in sections or scene type style. At times, It was confusing remembering what was going on because of the switching back and forth. If it wasn't for that I would have given it an extra star. The book revolves around Red and Messiah. Red has faced some troubling times and is rescued by her childhood friend Messiah. Mesiah operates the Candyshop and makes Red the manager of the shop. Of course the Candyshop is filled with drama and tons of shady action. I am interested in finding out what happens in the second part. Piece of advice to the author work on the editing and there were alot of words spelled incorrectly.

Take you to the Candy Shop
" Candy Shop" by Nicety was a quick but good read. Redina's (or Red as she's known by) life has been anything but easy. After witnessing her parent's murder, she turns to the streets. Being homeless, she does any and everything to survive. Meeting up with an old childhood acquaintance, she's met with an offer she simply can't refuse. She will soon discover however, that life ain't always sweet at the Candy Shop. "Candy Shop" pulls you in from page one. It was full of suspense, drama, sex, and more. There were some grammatical errors. The ending was a little too abrupt in my opinion. It left me with a few unanswered questions but I guess we will find out the answers in part 2. Overall good read.~Black Faithful Sister and Brothers Book Club~

Candy Shop...Sweetness with a little bit of bitter
Candy Shop started off as a good read but I am not a fan of endings that leave me hanging. The reason I gave it a three instead of a four was because there were alot of ends left untied. I don't like to give the story away but there are some moments that made me wonder why they were part of the book. I loved the concept of "Red" growing into her own and making her own way. I enjoyed the love story that was developing between Red and Messiah but there wasn't an ending for them. For me Candy Shop started off as a 5 star read but because of the things mentioned above ended up with a 3 star for me. I liked it but was left slightly disappointed. I will still read books from this author because I liked her writing style.

Exhilarating! Liberating! Heart Stopping! Action Packed!
Nicety really took this book to the head!!! From the first to the last page, you will be enthralled with the twists, the turns, and the suspense surrounding the life of Red. She is one bad mother *shut yo mouth* and is not to be played with. To my ChiTown natives, you will enjoy the fact you can follow right along street by street as well. Yes, this book is based in the Chicago and Surrounding Suburban area~that was such an added bonus. I have grown extremely fond of Nicety's books..but my fellow readers...THIS ONE RIGHT HERE...IS THE KABOOM!!!!! Be prepared for some mouth dropping, eye popping and breath holding in this new book by Nicety. I can say, it is worth every single penny plus some. Please do not sleep on this one, because I am sensing...A PART TWO..so better read it now..don't wait!!!! Get your copy today!!! And..as usual...I WAS STILL TRYING TO SWIPE MY INFAMOUS KINDLE FOR SOME MORE....Thanks Nicety!!! Hugs to you!LaTosha Scruggs
