Okay. but there are better ghees out there
I'm surprised this ghee got high ratings. I compared (in order of my preference) :1. Organic Ghee Clarified Butter Grass-Fed by "GOURMET HEALTH CO", 8 ounce, Non-GMO, Lactose Free, Pasture-Raised Cows2. Original Grass-Fed Ghee Butter by "4th & HEART", 9 Ounce, Pasture Raised, Non-GMO, Lactose Free, Certified Paleo3. "TIN STAR" gheeGourmet Health had the smoothest conistency, and the most buttery (not burned) flavor. Also Gourmet Health was the smoothest and the most liquid (but not runny), and I strongly suspect that's because of higher content of Omega 3 fatty acids and CLA fats, which are liquid at room temperature. Tin Star's ghee was the most grainy, and significantly more "solid" (I found more liquid components only at the bottom of the jar). Tin Star and Gourmet Health claim they are both 100% pasture raised, but I think that the Gourmet Health is of better quality.Lastly, I'm on low-carb diet and use fat sparingly, and I felt a VERY noticeable uptick in energy levels and mood from Gourmet Health Co's ghee; something I have not felt with the other two products.Gourmet Health Co's ghee, is the most expensive, but in my mind, money worth paying for.

Great to cook with and delicious on toast and popcorn!
Love that this product is made using organic, grassfed butter, especially at the very reasonable price. It tastes amazing and I love knowing that I can have the creamy goodness of good butter but in a healthier form. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fat and should be used in moderation, but it's a good source of Vitamins A, D, E & K, a good source of both short and medium chain fatty acids that are good for digestion and inflammation among other things, it's generally well tolerated by people that are lactose intolerant, and it has a smoke point of 450 degrees so it's much easier to cook with than regular butter. It doesn't have exactly the same flavor as butter, I tend to think of it as sort of nuttier and richer instead of the sweet creaminess of butter, but I haven't found any situation yet where I strongly prefer butter to ghee. And that's saying something because I LOVE butter! :) Only giving four stars because while this brand does have a very nice flavor, the texture is a little strange. I keep it in the cupboard instead of the refrigerator (which is safe according to the jar and a whole lot of research) and while my house is admittedly a little bit cold, this ghee hardens a lot more than the other brand that I have right next to it in the cupboard. It also tends to get a little bit grainy. That's not a problem for cooking because the graininess just melts away, and it's even still ok for spreading on toast because it eventually melts there too, but it does make it a little bit harder to spread and because the other brand isn't having the same problem (and none of the ghee I've used in the past has either), I'm not 100% satisfied with this product. The jar is also absurdly hard to open which I think has to do with the circumference of the lid since my small hands just don't want to fit around it. No matter how carefully I close it so that I don't twist it too tightly closed it somehow seems to glue itself on by the time I want to use it again. That doesn't seem like a big problem but it does get a little annoying having to run it over to my boyfriend to open for me. If he's not home I go through the process of wrapping it in a towel or trying to hold it with my legs while I twist the lid and grunt and curse.....I'm sure it would be quite comical to watch but it's inconvenient! Haha. I'll probably continue to buy it because I trust the company and know they produce a well tested and nutrient rich product, but if something else comes along that seems better I'd consider making a switch.

I reacted to this like dairy.
I reacted to this like dairy.. became congested after eating repeated occasions. Ghee is meant to be protein and lactose free and my reaction is normally to whey and less so to lactose.

Irresistible results.
We are tempted to give this product a 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that the cap is very difficult to remove. Besides that small factor, we love this product. We see that the cap must be preserving the product if it takes all of our strength to open it every time we use it, so we are delighted to share our enthusiasm pertaining to health and convenience. I should also mention that this is a fantastic product for cast iron! People need to become more aware of ghee! Thank you for this excellent product!

Grainy is perhaps the best way to describe it
I don't find the nutty taste that Ghee is know for to be present in this brand. It also had an odd texture- visual and to touch. Grainy is perhaps the best way to describe it. Doesn't affect cooking- but the flavor is missing. I also use this with coconut oil in my coffee and I was not as happy as I was with Eat Good Fat ghee or my homemade ghee.

Is it supposed to have color like peanut butter?
I’ve bought several ghee brands, with this company being my first. I have just received my jar and it does not look anything like previously purchased ghee. Should it look muddy with this discoloration on the bottom if jar? I’m used to my ghee looking brighter and yellow, not like peanut butter. I have not opened the jar, to smell, but the sell by date says 07/2019.I’m thinking I should return for a newer jar. The smaller jar is comparing to what I currently have which is more consistent t to other brands I’ve purchssed, and by a different brand/vendor.

the best ghee I've found so far!
I have tried about 10 different ghees for my daily bulletproof coffee and this one is at the top of my list! The jar seals very well so there is no leakage in shipping (that has happened for at least 3 products). While the jar seals well, it is not difficult to unscrew. The ghee tastes great without any grittiness and and dissolves instantly. I have used it a few times to cook chicken and it works great with that too. I like that it is from 100% grassfed cows and made in the USA.

Great product Great value
This Ghee tastes great and doesn't affect me, as some ghees do. I am allergic to casein, and this ghee is certified casein free and does not harm me. I can enjoy buttery flavor for my steaks and stir-fry meals without the "flare ups" I get when I eat something that causes inflammation in my body. This is a great product and a great value.
