Very smooth and at the same time Very sharp. Keep in mind razor blades are extremely subjective as we all have vastly different skin types. Your mileage may vary. I have course hair, but it isn't very thick. Before the 7 o'clock, I used the Gillette Silver Blues which gave me a close shave but was too rough on my skin, leading to razor burn and nicks. Paired with the Merkur 34c, the Gillette 7 o'clock blades gave me the closest and smoothest shave of my life. Since using these razor blades, I have had no razor burn, no ingrown hairs, and no nicks!! With two passes, I'm as smooth as I've ever been. I use a fresh blade for each shave, and though others might think its wasteful, 100 blades will last me a minimum of 2 years, which is well worth the 15 dollars I paid for a perfect and comfortable shave each time. I look forward to trying the 7' oclock Ultra Smooth!

These blades are super sharp and just what I need. I recently started shaving with a shavette and these are exactly what I needed as a beginner. They are super sharp but not overly sharp. Best of the best--as comfortable as Astra--yet as formidable, blazing sharp as Feather. This blade elevates your shave game to the pinnacle. Although they are 'expensive' for a blade, they are still dirt-cheap in general.

These are great blades! Most of the time I do use feather but I decided to give these a try and so I did. The main benefit I could see these having over feather blades is once you get a little more experienced and comfortable with a safety razor you can shave quicker with these than you can with feather. Feather is very sharp it can certainly leave razor burn if you have to go over your whole face 2 times. These don't do that. Also, you can shave a little quicker with these. Say you are in a bit of a rush and need a shave in the morning these allow you to shave quicker without cutting yourself. Only downside is because they aren't as sharp as feather. They don't cut as close and you can't let your hair grow out as much. If you have a hot date or something and you want to look extra sharp though I would stick with the feather. All in all it's a great blade and certainly serves a purpose just make sure you buy the right blade for the right purpose.

I use more than one blade, it depends on the days need. These are a good “sharp category” blade that are as smooth as they are sharp. I really like their 7:00 platinum (black) but the prices have gotten pretty high. These are a close second. They seem to work in all my double edge razors. They work great in my shavettes as well. Some razors are finicky, but these are decent all around. They can bite if using a more aggressive razor and you just rush around carelessly. They preform great in mild razors. I am the type that likes a lot of blade feel, I like to know exactly where it is making contact, and if its a clean pass. I can still tell just enough even with a pretty mild razor.

I bought these years ago along with my first safety razor, and I'm still very happy with them. They give a smooth shave and but aren't so sharp that you have to be delicate with pressure.

This blades are very sharp but gentle at same time, absolutely love them. No bleeds, cuts or nicks. Highly recommended and I didn’t get paid for this review folks! 😅
