Good quality device
Absolutely love this device. Really nice build quality, good screen, good battery life. Does exactly as described.Installed software: Chrome, Pandora, Spotify, Spotify Kids, Apple Music, Amazon Music, TIDAL, Deezer, Audible, Kindle, Facebook, local music player, local video player, local Ebook reader, Twitter, FM Radio (uses headphones as aerial), Voice recorder, Clock app, Calendar app, calculator app, file manager, send-anywhereRuns a locked down Android operating system, no way to install additional apps but can "install" web apps through Chrome. Can move apps around on the homescreen and make folders, change wallpaper etc.Battery life is amazing. Software optimised to improve this such as disabling wifi after some idle time when not in use.Only real negative is the speaker is not great considering it's a music playing device, but headphones work fine.

Terrible player.
I bought this as a back up for another player which I sometimes find a bit bulky if I'm going to be out all day (Surfans 20). I saw that it was around half price, and did a bit of research online before deciding to buy it. That was a mistake. For a start, it took around 10 tries before it recognised the SD card. when it eventually did, I formatted it so that I could use it on other devices, and that was ok. Halfway through transferring music, it suddenly stopped. No reason, it just stopped. I was copying files from my desktop to the card, and it quit. That was 45 minutes wasted. Now it's back to not recognising that there's an SD card in it, and the PC can't see it either. I went into the settings, and it wants me to format the card again. Nope.I tried transferring a few FLAC music files to the 16gb internal storage, and that was fine. Then I tried to play them. Time after time, it stopped and started, then the player threw up an Error - File Not Found message, even while it was playing a song. Not that I could hear it.If you look this up on youtube you'll see a lot of channels talk about how good the external speaker is, but none of them will talk about just how awful the headphone output is. It is unbelievably bad. Even at full volume I can hear whats going on around me, assuming that the song will even play. I used a set of very expensive Bang and Olufsen headphones, as well as several sets of mid range IEMS, and the quality of the sound from all of them is shocking. There was hiss and popping on every track I tried, and everything is flat and compressed. It's like listening through speakers with a blanket over them. Dreadful.I can't over emphasise just how bad the headphone output is. This is the purpose of a portable music player after all. It comes with a load of useless apps, which is where the money has gone, but it fails to do the one thing that people will buy it for. If it can't drive a pair of low impedance IEMS, then what's the use of it?Avoid this and buy literally any other player instead.

surprised and happy
i have left this review for a while to be fair and honest, looked and looked at a lot till i took the plunge and reviews but you still have to jump in.This a stunning looking gem some one commented on the case I agree it needs a dam good case to look after it, weight is surprising but good like a mini phone touch screen works well navigation is good.sound I do not have top end buds but this picks up sounds or instruments on tracks I did not hear before level on sound good. Bluetooth works well and connects all the time 5.0 . you can set up your own music files as many playlists as you like but needs to be done on the mp3 but its no hardship single, loop repeats ect all available as said easy to load over from pc more you can do if you take the time.Battery life is good sure using bluetooth will pull more but thats life but still charge time is not bad at all.i use it for the fact of playing music and i am really impressed more expensive players am sure and cheaper but i am very pleased with this i had ipod it finally died but in fact this is way better .if someone is looking at this give it a go i did am smiling a gave a 4 rating overall no bad reason dont want someone thinking its perfect but damm near i love my music and this so far loving it

Great little MP3/Audiobook player
I bought this so my wife could listen to her Audible audiobooks in bed without using her new and expensive Samsung phone. It works a treat. Gives full access to the library, after making sure I selected the correct market place on login. Plenty of memory for downloads and expandable with an SD card. The unit feels weighty and robust since the case is metal and nicely finished.Easy to set up for WiFi etc; works just like a tiny tablet. The inbuilt speaker is adequate for the size of the unit. Headphones are crisp and clear. We will see how long the unit lasts, but all-in-all a good purchase. We are very pleased.
