Dude, it was 3pr for $15.
They were exactly what I expected, and they didn’t cost very much. If you play hard, and I do, some of the rods may begin to slip forward. Pop the black ends off. Add a little ittle wood glue. Put ‘em back on, and you’re as good as gold. You can’t buy 3 or of any stix for under $20. Even if you hate them, you can have a blast beating them up, and I bet it takes longer than you’d think.Cough up the 💴 dough, whimp!

Great alternatives to hot rods at a fraction of the price
Honestly really surprised me with how good they were for the price. I needed some hot rod style sticks for a lighter, more acoustic-style worship night that we were holding at my church, and debated between these, or a single pair of hot rods that would cost $5 more (again, for a single pair compared to the 3 pairs you get here). The sticks felt nice, they hold up well, and I have zero regrets getting these compared to any name-brand hot rods. That being said, the tip of the sticks that held the bundle together did feel a little sticky. As far as I could tell there was no glue or anything on the outside, the material just felt... sticky. I don't really have a better way to describe it. Regardless, that doesn't do much to take away from their quality, and I would definitely recommend them, especially if they stay at this price.

Quickly fall apart
Out of the box these are a competent copy of “the original”. They look, feel, sound, and play as you would hope. The problem is all 3 pairs I received FELL APART before the 2nd set was over!!! First individual bamboo rods slip forward and stick out, then break off when striking a drum! I would push them back but they then jut out again with the next tune. Then the black cap at the base would slip off, the wrapping is now so loose I was then holding a loose collection of bamboo rods, and they are now worthless as a tool to play a drum set. This is no fluke, all 3 pairs I received did this, and all before the end of the 2nd set at best! 1 pair “dissolved” on the 2nd tune I played!! I tried wrapping them tightly with tape, no help at all. They’re a great price but likely won’t last long enough to finish the 1st gig they’re used on. Be wary!! Note: I am not a power player. My gig is with an electric blues band and my style is hardly “punishing”, just precise and musical. I will not buy these again.

Fall apart as I played
These need to be taken apart and super glued (or hot glued) or you’ll be shooting bamboo all over the place.Go ahead, spend the money and get Hot Rods

Solid Offering at this price point
If you are expecting ProMark HotRods ($24/Pair) at this price point you are going to be disappointed. That said, I use these for small rooms where I need low volume or for practice sessions. Out of the box, these need help. The rubber cap on the bottom falls off almost immediately. The middle rods slide out during playing. So,, you ask why 4 stars? These issues are easily fixed. I literally took the time to (see Pic) to tightly tape the bundle in a few key places (Strips of Gaffers Tape) to hold them together. Since doing this, they perform really well. Three pairs for ~$18 is a steal. These things get beat up and will break over time. Now I can buy 6 sticks for ~$18 which will last me a while. For that reason. 4 stars. Just don't expect HotRod Performance from these things out of the box. Happy Drumming.

with a quick cheap tweak, just as good as the more expensive rods
Take the black end cap off, pour a little wood glue in it, let it dry, replace end cap. That was all I needed to do, and now it is just as good as any of the way more expensive rods. Sounds great, feel great, and wont come apart or shift (after you put a little glue on the end) and that's that.

Poor quality
Inexpensive rods but in no way ‘pairs’ as suggested. 6 loose, very individual rods; 3 adequate, one has parts missing, and two are thrashed.. even have scotch tape holding them together because the wraps were coming off.. looked very used, as if beaten on drum rims. See pics.

Better than Rods for the price.
Same functionality as Rods at a fraction of the cost. The sheath closer to the end of the sticks does move however. For me this was an added bonus as I glued it in place with it closer to the end on one pair for a more focused attack and further from the end on another pair for softer playing. Not worried about them breaking as the price for 3 pairs is cheaper than a single pair of promark rods.

Good sound but rubber caps come off
Dowels slide out of the black rubber caps at the end while playing. I learned to add a few drops of glue in the cap to better secure it. Otherwise good.

Excellent Value
I've been buying the hotrod brand and they cost upwards of $35.00 for only one pair. In this case three pairs for around $20.00 bucks, wow.

Waste of money
I'm in a band and I've used a pair of vic firth equivalent sticks for a year before they fell apart. These sticks couldn't make it through one track. Utter pony! Poorly made crap!

Preisleistung
Die Rods sind direkt auseinander gefallen. Ich habe sie dann mit Tape gewickelt bis es nicht mehr ging... aber ich rate vom Kauf ab, wenn man länger damit spielen möchte.

Falls apart
I bought these as a cheaper version to the originals. They look good and seem ok but after playing, the rubber ends fall off and the sticks them sell separate and come out .. Poor quality
