Tidy, snug and functional
The media could not be loaded. Great product. It's not the type of hub I would have chosen automatically. Not sure why, but maybe it's just thinking 'hub must = something wired'?. I was asked to review this as I had purchased a multi-port hub some time ago. I must say I'm impressed with this. Functionality I'm sold on as I was with the previous hub. I'm sure most reading a review like this know how useful many ports and types of port are. The main difference with this hub is the aesthetics. Not sure if you're the same as me but wires everywhere kind of gets on my nerves. I'm not saying this gets rid of the number of wires, indeed it only gets rid of one, however seeing the hub snuggly attached to your device makes a difference. The hub becomes part of the MacBook and peripherals go into the device. It does make a difference. The fact that it's colour and the feel of it is like the MacBook adds to a slick 'at-one' feel. So, a step up in my book, it does the port thing for you but tidies the whole experience for you.

Simple and Compact Docking Station
I bought this after trying to buy a proper docking station for my Thinkpad Laptop.I have my doubts, as it look quite simple, but got a good surprise, being using it for a month already. It has proven useful, reliable and small enough to be discrete on my desk.Only issu I have is that the power cable from the docking station to the laptop is a bit small for my desire. But, I am able to connect 2 HDMI monitors and 2 USB devices... those are less cables to connect and disconnect from my laptop every time I need to move! and that is a big thumbs up! for me!

The HDMI does not work on mine
I have used this for almost a year now and the HDMI has never worked on it, every once in a while it will work until the connection is cycled, then it will no longer provide a signal, it has acted like this since I first purchased it but I was never bothered by this behaviour as I barely needed to use it. However I have recently started using my laptop as my main computer and it has become an issue I cant ignore. The rest of the product works fine and it looks sleek on the side of my laptop. its easy to chuck in a bag with my laptop for whenever I need a mouse.

Great gadget
I’ve had this item for over a year now. It’s great! I blue-tacked it to my desk to keep it in place. Highly recommend!

It works, but with caveats
Review for 8-in-2 model: Good feature list and priced to move. Obviously its flush fit makes it unsuitable for laptops that have more than 2 ports on the same side (e.g. Apple’s new 14" MacBook Pro, where the dual USB-C ports sit next to the power socket), but for laptops that have dual USB-C ports only (e.g. 2016/2020 MacBook Pro 13"), it plugs in tidily and ita ports all work—with two significant caveats:1. Plug it into a laptop and leave the whole setup alone on a desk, it works fine. However, the friction-fit dual plugs combined with its long lever-like shape makes that laptop connection highly susceptible to rocking. Moving the laptop or inserting/removing cables and SD cards can all too easily interrupt power and data (bad news for [e.g.] external disk drives). The USB-C standard is partly to blame here, as its friction-fit plugs easily tug loose even on good days. However, a USB hub that connects to the computer over flexible cables might be less prone to disconnecting during the rough-and-tumble movements of everyday use.2. The 8-in-2 model provides 2 USB-A and 2 USB-C sockets, with marketing material promising 100W power delivery and 5K video on USB-C. The problem is: both of these features are provided on the *same* socket (the one closest to the ethernet port). The other USB-C socket is data transfer only; no power or video. If you have to power your laptop through this hub, your external video options are limited to the 4K HDMI port only; you cannot plug in a power supply and a 5K display at the same time. Notoriously chaotic USB-C standards are again partly to blame, but it is odd that the vendor should overlook such an obvious combination. If you can live within these limitations, I imagine it will do the job. I chose this model over others for the built-in SD card slots and gigabit ethernet support, and wobble risk isn’t an issue when it’s parked on my desk. The power/video conflict is a deal breaker for me though, as I do need to power my laptop while it’s connected (with lid closed) to dual monitors. Ah well, back to the search. So it goes.

Does exactly what it’s suppose to do.
Definitely value for money. Very lightweight and the build quality is good. I have tried all the ports and they work perfectly. Initially wasn’t sure about buying this as some of reviews mentioned that product gets hot but I have used it in anger (used all ports simultaneously) for long periods of time and not found it to be the case. It gets warm, which is normal for any electrical item. One thing to note is that the fit of the USB ports can be improved on as they are a lot tighter than the fit of the twin usb c ports to your MacBook which means if you try to pull out any usb device from the adaptor you will end up pulling the whole adaptor out, however this is not a dealbreaker for me. Overall happy with the product.
