OM System "Olympus" OM-1: Pocket Guide: Buttons, Dials, Settings, Modes, and Shooting Tips (The Pocket Guide Series for Photographers, 25)

I really liked this little book. It's concise and to the point with step by step instructions for basic use of your Olympus Camera. I had been getting frustrated remembering all the different camera settings and this really was helpful. It doesn't give you advanced instructions but enough to get you going in the right direction. There was a blank page at the end which I used to write myself a note on how to do a long exposure (as I didn't use that setting often and kept forgetting the steps). All and all a nice buy.

Clear and simple guide to basic operation of the OM-1.

Pros : Great information and well laid out. Each section easy to access because of the section tabs. Cons : Individual pages are hard to get to as all of the tabs for each section are located at the same place on each section page. Think it would have been better if tabs were to be put on each page, then spread them out across the pages so that you can more easily get to each individual page.

The OM 1 must set some sort of record for complexity as well as capability. You can do almost anything with this camera but to get the most out of it you will need some help. This pocket guide is great, covering lots of information in a small format that you can always have with you. I’m glad to have it and expect to get a lot of use out of it.

The OM-1 is a powerful camera, this pocket guide is handy to have with you while getting used to the numerous camera features.

This is nicely organized but the biggest disappointment is it does not cover certain "advanced" features, like how to use the C1-C4 dial settings to access frequent setting combinations for different scenarios. I ended up finding what I needed on Youtube instead.

This is a decent simple guide, that leaves out some significant but important details. The camera is very complex, and a quide of this nature can not contain all the information really necessary to operate the camera to its full capabilities.

Succinct access to camera features. My only qualm is being spiral bound at top rather than sideways.
