These are great and save the day, every day. I drink a protein shake for breakfast which says is lactose free, but still upsets my stomach. I take two of these tablets first and I’m good! Also worked great eating two of these just before trying gelato in Italy on our last trip. I would have been a mess if not for these tablets.

Chewable with a pleasant vanilla taste. Everyone in our family loves these versus just swallowing lactose pills. Slightly sweet, so remember that when you’re using it for savory items like cheese.

First brand I tried after my Dr told me what was happening to me, I'd never even heard of lactose! This was what he recommended and has been the only one I've tried and has been a life saver.

Lactaid has been a life-saver for me (well, at least a meal-saver). Plus, a wallet-saver.Typically, the product is depicted as being able to eat ice cream and stuff like that with everyone else.But, there is literally milk hidden everywhere. It's in everything.That meant I had to often by expensive alternatives to normal foods (organic turkeys with no butter basting for example or even a more expensive loaf of bread) or make everything from scratch. While I like cooking, it can get a bit tedious.Going out to eat was always miserable for me, because sometimes even simple hamburgers are actually cooked in butter, so even ordering a hamburger with no cheese wasn't safe. It took the social aspect of eating and fellowship and made it a stressful affair.My sensitivity was pretty bad, causing nausea, severe stomach cramps for hours, and lots of other unpleasant issues. I generally eat these several times a day.These little pills truly made a huge difference for me. Now I can just live a normal life. Amazon is by far the cheapest place to get them. Places like Walgreens charge $13 for the same pack. Don't even bother with the store brands. I use them if I'm desperate (like if they are sold out of Lactaid) but each one I have tried only seems to work mildly compared to the Lactaid.I hope Lactaid comes out with other flavors in the future. I think they used to make chocolate. It would be a nice way to switch it up.The only reason that I gave this 4 out of 5 stars is that the 32 count packet seemed to go through some quality control issue where these tasted really unpleasant, almost like a peppery sanitizer taste. They normally don't taste like that and I've never had the issue with the bigger pack. But, two packets I bought from Amazon and one from a chain grocer tasted like it, so it had to be a production thing. It was disappointing to have to choke them down to use them when they normally don't taste like that.The normal taste is just like a sweet vanilla chalky taste. It's less chalky than Tums. The texture reminds me of those old pink chewable peppermint candies that tasted like pepto bismol. The flavor is different, but that's the texture.

I need these when I eat any dairy. These are great, they keep the stomach pain at bay. I take it with the first bite of dairy. I keep these in stock.
