These Bluapple produce savers are simple yet so effective. They absorb ethylene gas and help my fruits and vegetables stay fresh much longer, which means I waste far less food. It works best in enclosed area rather than out in the open. The bananas left out in my fruit basket ripened somewhat slower with the blue apple next to them, but a large prepared salad lasted for a week with the blue apple and tight lid in the fridge. The veggies and lettuce were still tasty and crisp.

I must admit at first I thought this was just gonna be one of those "too good to be true" things, but the price was right so I thought I'd give them a try. I've been really pleased with how well they work! My lettuce lasts much longer than it ever has, I've gone back to placing apples, celery, carrots in my fridge and have not needed to throw them away before I've had a chance to eat them :-) These are simple to use, and don't take up any more room than a small apple would (I would not recommend using the packets without the apple, because they may get wet). I also bought the supply of replacement packets, and I get a regular email reminder from BluApple letting me know when it's time to replace them.

I don't consider them excellent, but they're not bad either. I still have them, but I can say they're not entirely effective.

This is my second purchase of this starter kit. I used these in my refrigerator and my produce has stayed fresher longer than with other products.

I have been using the Blue Apples for years and saved hundreds of dollars. I now have six of them scattered throughout my two refrigerators. My produce lasts three times longer than usual and has saved me so much produce that I would have otherwise had to throw away. This stuff is amazing and I've talked so many of my friends and relatives into trying them. It works on ALL my produce including bananas, avocados, lettuce, sugar snap peas, broccoli, EVERYTHING!! It's like magic so I can buy produce when it is on sale and it will last me more than a week. I highly recommend.

I've been using them for about 2 weeks - so although I can't attest to its longevity yet, I can attest to that they really work!! I like fruits and veggies - but I don't like to eat them every day. As a single person, inevitably, most go bad before I have time to finish them. I heard about this product on a video and thought, what can I lose? I tried them first on my most favorite: bananas. I put the bananas in a covered bowl and put the little 'apple' inside. I was actually able to eat the entire bunch - without having to eat one or two every day! Minimal brown spots on the last one and none on under the peel. I was impressed. Then I tried it in the crisper with fresh vegetables: string beans in this case. After a week, I went for a second serving in the bag. They still were crispy and had a great snap. I was sold! Great investment! Super easy to use; you get two apples and two packets - just put a packet in each apple and snap it shut. I did read in the instructions that you shouldn't leave the 'apples' out in the open, so don't forget to keep the sealable bag that they came in so you can store them to keep them active when not in use.

These little blue apples are marvellous!! I have one in each crisper and they really are making a huge difference for my produce staying fresh much longer. I'm so glad I found them!!

The only thing is how long it will provide this . If it lasts a long time I will be very happy .

These are great. I live on my own and find that I can keep celery, avocado, green vegies, etc. for much longer than without them.
