Rio Grande Games Dominion: Prosperity 2nd Edition Expansion - Ages 14+, 2-4 Players, 30 Mins (RIO622)

Prosperity is the first expansion that I have bought for my Dominion big box set. Technically Intrigue would be the first one as it game in the big box but this is the first one that I intentionally sought out. The additions of the platinum and province cards alone make it worth it as they expand every game in a significant way. Beyond those cards the additional treasure cards are a blast, like Hoard that is +2 coin and when you buy a victory card get a Gold. Or Tiara that lets you play a treasure twice. Or Quarry that reduces the cost of Action cards by 2 coin. It also has one of my favorite attack cards Charlatan that counts as a gold and gives everyone else a curse while also changing curses to count as a copper as well. Then there is Grand market that is "market" but +2 coin and cannot be bought with copper and kings court that lets you play an action card 3x. This expansion is definitely a must buy for anyone looking to expand their base Dominion game but not wanting to complicate the core mechanics just yet. Prosperity can easily be implemented with new players just learning the mechanics where some of the other expansions complicate it for new players too much.

This set focuses on money. It has platinum cards and new colony cards worth 10 victory points each. This is a favorite expansion pack. Can not be played alone!

My son asked for Dominion as a Christmas gift, and we are so glad he did. We have purchased the original and have 6 more expansion packs. With the different expansions, no game is the same. It can be played in about 25 minutes, and it is fun for the whole family. Great price, great game.

Another great expansion

This game is very unique and a classic by my eyes. Each pack, or version, is different but you can technically use any cards in the starter version and beyond, so depnding on your mentality its mostly situational awareness. Very fun to play, it got me off MTG at least for the mean whille. Can also be played on discord together or even just the mobile app

Have you played this? Its one of the BEST expansions in temrs of what it adds to the game, without adding tons of hard to graspnew mechanics. Id recommend this as the next expansion you buy.

We love to play Dominion on family game nights and once the original got a bit played out we began adding expansions. This is one of our favorite expansions as it adds new elements that breathe new life into the game.

This is such a fun expansion pack! So easy to incorporate with the original, and introduces lots of new strategy. Very fun!
