I use Sorbitol sweetener in my morning coffee and like the taste of the sweetener. However, my concern with this product was the way this product was mailed to me. Amazon stuck a mailing label on the outside of the actual sorbitol package, covering the name of the product and also covering the nutritional values. Good product but terrible shipping. Big ugly dirty sticker stuck on the side of this food product. Good thing it didn’t rip during shipment. No problem with the product itself only with the packaging and shipping.

My husband is a diabetic and as a baker, i bake him sugar free products. I decided to try sorbitol and was very pleased. He did not notice the difference and i used a 1:1 substitution with sugar. Great taste and no difference in baking characteristics. Good price point.

Pros: Good $ value as a sweetener for baking, provided you don't consume too much else see the ''con'' below. Cons: When I consumed sorbitol in my drinks (e.g., coffee and tea) to sweetener the taste (without adding calories), this caused a lot of ''gas'' in my body. My total daily dosage that resulted in gas (lots of gas) or other gastrointestinal issues was at an estimated 5 grams a day. Bottom line: I won't consume sorbitol in the future as a drink sweetener unless I consume a lot less than 5 grams.
