Seems to be working great with good calibration or only .01 gram off.

I ordered the LACHOI 100g 0.001g High Accuracy Lab scale for our combined chemistry / geology laboratory at my home/business and I couldn’t be more pleased. Up until now, we relied on an older 0.01g accuracy scale in our lab. That scale (also purchased here on Amazon) was fine for many of our tests and experiments but as we’ve migrated to more exotic tests with more expensive ingredients (not to mention less room for guessing at the sub .01g scale), we needed an upgrade. When I saw this scale from LACHOI and read through its features, I felt it was right for us and I ordered it. I haven’t been disappointed. When it arrived, I was pleased to see that its packaging was exactly what I would expect to keep a high accuracy scale protected during shipping. Because of this simple fact, I WAS NOT surprised that the scale arrived in perfect working order. I set up the scale quickly and without any issues. Assembly is easy once you figure out how to orient the pieces of the anti disturbance surround that is ultimately installed over the weighing platform. This scale is well made from quality materials. I’m inclined to call it heavy duty based on the solid nature of its construction. Before use, make sure the scale is sitting on a level surface by using its built in center bubble level. If your surface isn’t level, you can compensate for the surface abnormality simply by raising or lowering the scale’s corner feet as needed to center the bubble in the interior circle of the built-in level. Calibrate your scale by following the instructions that accompany the instrument, and you are set to go. The weighing platform is a generous size for its accuracy. The scale is easy to operate, its buttons large and clear in function; based on my calibrations, it’s spot on. It even comes with its own calibration weight. For its price, you cannot beat its accuracy. In the lab game; you can’t afford anything else. Its price is more than fair and it delivers great value for a modest investment. I’d not hesitate to order it again.

This is a very well made digital scale that measures in grams up to 100g. So that being important, if you are planning to purchase it it should only be for anything 100g or below. The scale has all the options like Tare, Count, Calibration etc For weight accuracy it has a mode to calibrate and comes with a 50g weight to dial the accuracy in and make sure you are accurate. This also comes with 5 pieces of plastic shields that connect to each other on each side as well as a roof cover to make sure any external wind etc isn't affecting your accuracy weights. This is plugged in to operate and has a compartment underneath to store the cord when not in use and also store the 50g weight. The top of the scale is a fairly durable plastic which has the bottom structure which is made of a very sturdy metal that is powder coated. It is pretty heavy overall and extremely well made. Each edge has a screw adjustable leg that can be finely tuned to make sure your scale is making contact with whatever surface you have it on preventing any rocking. I personally use this for smaller mixtures of e-juice when each drop needs to be extremely accurate. This scale though seems best for jewelry makers, hobbyists who want to accurately weigh each small diamond, glass, jade etc that they will place in a ring etc You could easily throw 20 or so on it and after you have accurately got an initial count, could then use it to count dozens easily and efficiently instead of counting them just from counting one by one. So if you have lots of light parts that need counting, a scale like this will increase your efficiency 50 times over just eye counting. My overall impressions of it are of a very well made , durable, and invaluable tool for weighing and counting your small parts. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants a gram scale that is a step above the dozens of cheaply made ones out there. If you are looking for a lifetime scale then the price justifies what it gives.

As an analytical chemist, I am very familiar with the performance and limitations of analytical balances. I ordered this balance for use in a high school teaching laboratory as a very reasonably priced alternative to much more expensive vendors. The balance is rated for a maximum capacity of 100 g with a stated accuracy of ±0.001 g. Setup was straightforward and quick: simply plug it in, level the balance, install the pan and draft shield, and calibrate. A 50 g calibration weight is included, which allows for a one-point calibration. There is also an option for two-point calibration, although this requires a 100 g weight, which is not included. Several features make this balance especially well-suited for a student lab environment, including an overweight alarm, a clear and easy-to-read display, and useful tare and counting functions. I’m not particularly fond of the draft shield materials or design. The shield is designed of a fairly thin plastic which scratches easily and I’m sure isn’t solvent resistant, and a lift of lid . When the shield is installed to improve performance, the balance effectively functions only as a top-loading balance, which could be mildly inconvenient if many weighings are required. That said, given the price point and my intended applications, this is a reasonable compromise. While I would not use this balance in a GMP-regulated or professional analytical lab where high-throughput precision work is required, it is an excellent choice for classroom instruction and student experiments. For its cost, it performs exactly as needed for educational use.
