Effective for long flights, cool & comfortable, easy to get on -- and worth the price
These socks are fantastic. I bought the light, natural-colored ones with the blue toes for a long flight (13 hours one-way) in June. Socks were comfortable, easy to get on and really worked -- no puffy ankles or calves. I also used them one night when the humidity level was crazy, I had had too much of a salty dinner and thus my lower legs were really puffy at the end of the evening. Worked within an hour or two, and woke up with no puffiness.I consider these my "summer/spring" travel socks as I have a black pair of another brand ("TravelSox") for winter trips (and dark pants). I like these better than those....Sizing: I'm 5' 2" and these socks went right up to under my knee-cap as I had wanted -- I bought a size SMALL for 7-7 1/2 women's shoe size. They also control odor and moisture, and dry quickly (don't throw them in the dryer - hang dry!).One final note: I first read about these in the 2017 New York Times Gift Guide with the review by Wirecutter product testers, and they were spot on. I also purchased a pair for my brother-in-law for his flight to Hawaii (~11 hours) and he loved them too. Worth the cost.

I love my black wool Sockwells but was looking for something ...
I love my black wool Sockwells but was looking for something lighter for summer in New Orleans. These are very pretty but there's a thin band at the top that leaves a mark on my leg (I have lymphedema.) The edge around my black socks is better finished than these, and the fabric, though lighter than the wool, isn't necessarily cooler. I wish these came in solids instead of wacko patterns. People who wear compression garments need to wear them to work, too! I need just plain navy, brown, black, cream, and other solids, please! Update 7/16/18: This pair didn't hold up very well at all unfortunately. After only 2 washings and only air drying, the top hems are unraveling and some of the elastic is so thin in the main part of the sock that it's breaking. Not acceptable. My black wool Sockwells have held up much better.

I have probably purchased over 20 different styles and manufacturers and have not been happy with any of them until now
I have been looking for the right compression sock and here they are! wow. I have probably purchased over 20 different styles and manufacturers and have not been happy with any of them until now. I am short at 5'1". These socks FIT the length of my lower leg, AND they fit my feet. I have larger calves so it has been a challenge to find something that doesn't go over my knee or that actually fits around my calf. BUY THESE! You won't be disappointed.

I knew I didn't want boring granny beige
I was only recently diagnosed with the need to wear compression stockings. I knew I didn't want boring granny beige, so have tried several brands that have fun and colorful styles. Sockwells fit me the best, and are not too difficult to get on. I'll definitely be ordering this brand from now on.My family and friends get a kick out of the colors and patterns, and have remarked that they fit my personality. The only thing I wish is that Sockwell would expand the colors and patterns of some of their lower compression sox into the 20-30 mmHG that I need.

5 Star Firm Compression With Great Styling and Fit
This firm compression sock is exactly what I was looking for. Fun styling and color is perfect when I wear them for athletic activities. They stay up and my legs and feet feel great after wearing them. I own other Sockwell compression in both moderate and firm compression and love all the styles and colors that I can choose from. Other bonus is they are made in the USA! I would recommend these socks to all my friends

Great compression, durable
Very good compression and I love the wool-mix fabric. These last a long time ( I have owned many pair) and the compression stays firm over time. I wear this brand at work every day where I stand a lot. They are cute too. My shoe size is 9 and I wear the small size so I think they run a little big, but people with wide legs might need to order the suggested size.

Do what they are supposed to do
First experience with compression socks. A devil to get on - and off - the first time, but post trail run my calves felt supported and I do think I recovered faster. But getting out of these the first time was like getting out of a sweaty jog bra (aka "help, I'm stuck").

Disappointing
Updated review: I have had these socks for a little under 6 months. I wear them 2-3 x per week. They're already wearing a hole on the pinky toe side. Right now, it's just scratchy and irritating but the hole is already starting and these for sure aren't going to last for one entire year. For nearly 25 dollars, these socks should last years. Disappointing. I will now be searching for a replacement brand.Aug. 2018: These are nice and the fact that they're a wool blend is nice but, they're not nearly as tight as I was expecting. I have other compression socks that are the same mmHg that these are and they fit much tighter. These are fine, just not as much compression
