Actually works as described
If you have one key that's programmed and the other ones notthis is the way to go. You can switch over the metal part into the new cover. It's simple to program itYou stick the program key in the ignition. Remove it after 5 seconds. And then stick the key to be programmed in the ignition and for me it programs right away.It unlocks and locks the doors and starts the car. Definitely worth it if you have the old keyThat doesn't work. But one good key.A++++ rating

Working well after some 'adjustments'
I needed 2 replacement fobs for my 2014 Chevy Impala. Ordered both this 'inexpensive' option and the Dorman model ($14 vs $40). I didn't have the new fob keys cut. I swapped out key blades from original fobs to the 2 new fobs (see YouTube vids). The original key didn't fit into this fob very well. Had to slightly grind and drill to get key blade to fit (old key fit perfectly into Dorman model). Both new fobs were easy to program, using my owner's manual instructions. Both new fobs function OK, but the buttons on this fob 'feel' better than the Dorman model. I'll see if the price difference shows up in the durability/longevity of each fob. For now, both are working fine.

2nd Replacement for 2013 Chevy Cruze
This is a replacement for the 1st fob I ordered, which I returned due to the "Lock" button being permanently pressed in when I received it (obviously a used/returned item). Amazon did replace it with one that seems to be new/unopened. After testing all the buttons, the "Lock" button does not seem to have the same audible "click" like the other buttons when pressing it, which seems to be a defect in the manufacturing process. However, I need a spare key, so instead of returning it, I took my original key from my broken fob and swapped it to the new keyfob. Programming was very simple...use a working key & fob (do not start the engine), turn the key until lights on dash come on and then go off by itself , then remove the key/fob, and within 5 seconds, insert the new, unprogrammed keyfob, turn the key until the dash lights come on then go off. Then, start the engine, I let my engine run for about a minute or so. The new fob should now be programmed to work the trunk and doors. If you do it this way, there is no need to have a new key lasercut. Note: when placing your old lasercut key into the new fob, you may have to spin the laser cut key counterclockwise once to put tension on the spring, then carefully close up the fob. This will insure that your key will "snap out" from the fob correctly. I used all the "key" parts from my old fob for proper fitment. You tube videos are helpful too.

Great!!
Great key FOB! Loved it. Looks just like the OEM, high quality, easily got it cut for $40 at a locksmith shop, and programmed it to the car myself VERY easily. All you do to program it on a Sonic is just put it in the ignition!10/10 great product.

Unreliable range and signal
My original fob had its button covers cracked off around the icon, so I had to replace the fob before I lost interior parts and couldn't push the buttons anymore. I swapped the key blade out so I wouldn't need to cut a new one, but the parts weren't quite exact. Had to do a little sanding, add spot of glue, to make it work.Sometimes it takes several clicks before my car will react. I don't know why. It *works* eventually but it's really inferior to my original fob, which my car would receive signal from immediately and reliably from quite a long range. The difference is very noticeable. I'm afraid that if the battery ever dies on the fob, it will take a while to notice because it'll just seem like the unreliable signal is being extra bad, instead.

Works So Far
The set up was good. We were able to replace the uncut key and put in the old key I had and get it programmed successfully.
