Murder of a Marine Biologist

What a great game!! Purchased for a family games night and it lasted for hours. We were able to discuss the evidence and only when we reviewed it all did we compare our notes to the hints did we see we had been on the money for the most part. Will be definitely purchasing another one for a future games night.

The case was intriguing and took us 3 hours to complete. We enjoyed solving the case as a couple and will be doing another.

We really enjoyed following the clues and working out the solution. Stimulated lots of ideas, talk and fun.

It was great fun, bought it for a hang out with my college mates we started doing it at 11pm and then gave up at around 1am cause we got confused spent 3 days trying to figure out what we were doing wrong to realise we were reading too deeply into thing (tbh tho some things that you get told from some of the information is IRRELEVANT or doesn't mean anything) we got stuck for so long and then we looked at the hints get 5 in total 5th one tells you the answer and we went through all 5 to be completely confused because we already had all the info the hints gave us so we usued the fith one snd only read the first sentence to realise we had the answer all along just kept skipping over it and then the part two that you get in the pack we did significantly quicker however you gotta look at things for part one when doing part two others you're going to miss so many things but we managed to solve it we all had fun was a little annoying that it took us so long for very simple things but all in all for our first time doing one it was good. It came with all the information even if you were missing things you can find the missing pieces from a link they give you, all of the things we were given we're very good things like cards and photos were made very well i highly recommend this if you're looking for something to do it's definitely worth the money and it's easy to set up with a group of people or yourself :)

Had a blast solving this mystery! It took us the recommended amount of hours to finish it, but it was so engaging you couldn't stop. The time just flew by because we didn't want to stop and lose our traction. The pack provided (and the packaging looked super nice) had so much information in it from different parts of the investigation process which made it all the more fun. Would absolutely recommend this game to others, excellent work by the creators!

Originally brought for myself, but soon become a family event. Incredibly interesting, and loved how much evidence and material was included in the packages. Easily understood the instructions, as well as the online aspect of evidence and hints. Great value for money!

Amazing...and truly deserved 5 stars

Really fun activity to do if you are into murder mysteries and solving crimes, we found it pretty hard and very exciting from all the clues, letters, and fingerprints. It is really well done, thank you to the team for creating it, cant wait to do more

My partner and I (both in our early 30s) enjoy doing these sorts of murder mystery packages together for date nights, and this was our first "Cryptic Killers" box. We really enjoyed it! The story was fun and I liked the mix of some puzzles with a lot of logical thinking and piecing things together. We talked through a lot of stuff together, which is always fun when you're doing these as a pair/group. We also thought everything was fair -- no wide leaps in logic or any guessing games were needed on our end. Everything made sense when we connected the right clues together. The documents were also well-made overall (some typos here and there, but nothing major) and high-quality. We read through everything and this ended up taking us a few hours over a couple of nights, so it was totally worth the money. The ONLY thing is we would have loved it if it was all on paper with no real online elements -- this game has a few online clues/pieces of evidence and we didn't have a laptop with us when we did it, so we were having to read them on our phones. It wasn't a huge deal, and mostly a personal preference. We'll be getting more of these in the future for sure!

Another great game!

If you ever played game of this sort you will be heavily dissapointed. The case file consists only of 2 folders with paper hints, nothing much else. The riddle is written very poorly, and the main difficulty is not in solving it but undertanding what the creator had in mind. I agree with other people being dissapointed in the clues not leading you in an organised way to a conclusion - after all you have only 2 tasks. Only will give one extra star for the print quality, as it wasnt bad at all, but its only because it wasnt terrible. Will definitely not buy any more games from this author as its very dissapointing - 'detective for a day' stories are much much better.

These games are so much fun. The clues are subtle, very realistic and they make for a great time. This is far better than watching a movie or playing a board game and the player interaction is the best part of the mysteries. Start with Murder of a Millionaire as some of the others are harder and may intimidate some new players
