Works great to add an additional monitor.
It works great, not like roducts from other companies. It allows me to have two external monitors connected to my laptop in addition to the laptop monitor. Having the USB adapter is a plus. Directions to download drivers are clear and efficient.

Works perfect for older laptops you cannot get a dock for
I wanted to run dual monitors off my older laptop that I could not get a dock for. I was very skeptical about this working but to my amazement it did. Super easy to setup and now I have a nice dual monitor setup.

Auto switch doesn’t work
Fantastic except does not auto switch as it should. Reached out for Assistance on the phone and they sent an email response but still does not solve the problem other than the auto switch. It works great.

Worked for a minute.
So right out the gate the switch wasn’t able to auto detect which hdmi port had video signal. That’s okay it would’ve been cool but I was fine with having to manually change it. So I started out watching a 4K movie on AppleTv and it was good. The Dolby Vision and Dolby atmos. Through without issue. After 10 minutes decided to try out how it worked with my Sony 4K UHD Blu-Ray Player. I turned off the AppleTv and hit the power button on the Blu-ray player and after a good minute nothing happened so I manually switched it and there was picture. I started a 4K UHD movie and it seemed to be working. I had to pause the movie for a moment to take a call. When I came back less than 3 Minutes later the screen was black. I first figured my player had froze. (It can do that) but restarting it didn’t bring the picture back. I tried everything I could. I unplugged all the cables and devices and started from the beginning. I first checked to see if it was the port so I swapped the ports between the Apple TV and blue ray when that didn’t help I tried different HDMI cables and still black screen for Blu-ray and picture perfect for Apple TV. I began to worry maybe something was wrong with the Blu-ray player but when I plugged the original hdmi that I had used with it at the start and bypassed the switch it worked just fine so it was the switch. The little booklet says it doesn’t need an outside power source and while it may be true in a few cases I think that you’ll have better luck plugging it in. The switch may have have great tech on the inside but the exterior isn’t a great. It’s cheap plastic and I doesn’t handle heat well at all. I wanted this to work and I’ve heard great things about the brand so maybe in the future I’ll try them again but for now I’m gonna order another brand the reviews or at least the negative ones accurate. I already started the return it’s just not work it if I can only use one of the 2 hdmi ports.

Watched the super bowl on two TV's Simultaneously from one cable feed!
Worked exactly as advertised for me. I have an older but arguably "best picture of any TV" huge Plasma TV and a more efficient small LED TV that we view from different perspectives in the house. Being energy conscious, I only use the Plasma when I watch a movie or special event such as the super bowl. Being a techie and knowing EXACTLY how much current the Plasma unit draws, (I measured it with a wattmeter as I did for all appliances and devices in my house) I do not run the Plasma often. I decided to run another TV as the primary source for evening shows, news, and bizarre showings at 6:00 O'clock and late night. (You know, political news...) However, I only have one cable box with the channels I like to watch. This switch directs the signal to the TV that's on automatically. It also will display both signals simultaneously. The super bowl was my first genuine experience with this splitter, I was watching it from two locations and this splitter did the job, it showed on both sets in high resolution. (I have not tried 4K, don't have this yet.) However, there was a definite delay between the two audio signals. Not sure if this was due to the splitter, the two different types of TV, or the cable box, but it was easily alleviated by turning the small TV volume down.So one may ask, why not just split the RF signal to two TV's by using the built in digital tuning of the TV? A cable signal is a digitally transmitted signal on a carrier and splitting the RF signal reduces the signal strength to both TV's. This may manifest itself as a picture that "breaks up" or freezes periodically, a result of weak digital signals. This requires a more expensive RF amplifier to bring the signal back to the proper level. And, it means the cable channel numbers and the broadcast channel numbers are different, some don't work, and more shortcomings. Splitting the HDMI signal and amplifying it (such as this box does) is generally less prone to this type of interference AND the cable channels all play with the same channel numbers displayed on the cable box. For you more advanced electronics people that understand RF transmission, cheap amplifiers typically have way to much noise figure to do this efficiently and the higher the frequency, the more difficult the design would be, the more expensive they would be. You would also need two cable boxes.I gave this 5 stars because it is built well, looks to be well shielded (EMI stuff) and works.
