Worth the extra weight for a great quality keyboard.
Great keyboard - easy to set up and use straight out of the box. Yes , it adds weight but worth it for the convenience and ease of use. For a while I had an annoying flashing volume bar at the top of my iPad screen and the volume down button on the case wasn’t working properly - sorted both problems by taking the iPad out of the keyboard case and pushing it back in again ensuring a better fit.

Very nice case and keyboard
the keyboard works well and was easily set up using fn key and c, would have liked the keys to light for easy use at night that the bridges key board did with old mini ipad but bridges dont make one for the new one so such is life. It don’t have a touch pad but for £40 its well worth the money. Haven’t tried it in laptop bag yet to test the Magnetic strength on flights but seams strong enough

Cover
The cover is very good.

Screen viewing angle
The diagram is misleading. The screen does not open up as far as that and goes only a few degrees beyond vertical

Only keyboard case you'll need if you don't mind the weight
Okay so right from the off: this case is heavy. The weight is all in the lower half, the keyboard, and it essentially doubles or even triples the actual weight of the iPad Mini itself. If your top requirement is a light keyboard case then this definitely won't be for you.But if you don't mind about the weight - wow, is this thing good. I spent weeks researching the right case for my Mini and was half-tempted to pull the trigger on one of the £80 metal ones (but put off by the average reviews) when this one came up in my recommendations. I won't lie, I thought the mid-90's CDi grey wasn't the best look for it but that is my only criticism because in all other regards it is perfect. (Note that the grip section of the case is rubber but all other sides are hard plastic, meaning you can go ham with decorating it if the grey isn't to your liking - I have washi tape and stickers on mine and they stick well). The keyboard is really comfortable to type on. I use a full size keyboard for work so when typing on this it can take a couple of minutes to adjust to the fact that some of the punctuation is accessed with the command key whilst others are accessed with the function key, but the actual typing experience itself is great; the keys have enough height to feel like you're pushing them down and are well spaced apart. I have probably 'middle sized' hands and I don't feel it's particularly difficult to get into the swing of it and have written several long Word docs with no issues. The 'screen' section holds the iPad very sturdily (there's literally no way it could fall out) and docks with the keyboard equally sturdily both facing towards and away from the keyboard. This is great because, obviously, you need to see the screen when typing but also if you want to watch something the facing-away feature gives you some really nice viewing options, and the hinge is very 'stiff' so that it holds itself up no matter the angle. This also ensures the unit stays closed when it's in your bag. The rubber is also thinner on the magnetic side of the tablet so that you can charge your Apple Pencil 2 without needing to take the iPad out of the case. Finally the battery life - I've used the unit for about 50 hours without charging it so far, but I tend to charge everything overnight so it's not a "full" test and not something I'm personally fussed about. So for me, this case is perfect and does everything I want at a third or quarter of the price of other units that aren't so well reviewed. But, again, if you need a light case then this definitely won't be your jam!

Not suitable
Unfortunately had to return this product. It’s a shame Apple don’t have a proper keyboard cover for iPad mini (at the time of writing this review) so have to resort to cheaper alternatives like this. The case was far too bulky when added on and did not agree with the fact that it connects the keyboard by Bluetooth which then ultimately drains the battery and you have to charge the keyboard separately. Would have liked something a lot simpler where it magnetically clips on the side of the iPad where the keyboard pin is located and it automatically works. Avoid.
