Versatile over mantle TV mount
This tv mount provides all the options I was looking for: tilt up/down, turning left/right and vertical positioning. The mount comes with 4 lag bolts to screw into studs which makes it very sturdy. I could not use all 4 lag bolts because I had a single stud in the middle of the wall. I could only use two lag bolts but that was an allowed configuration in the instructions. The mount can hold up to a 90”, 115 lb TV and has hydraulic piston to maintain the position of the TV. I like the possibility of upgrading to a bigger, heavier TV without needing to get a new mount. I thought the installation was easy and the instructions were clear. Definitely read the instructions, take measurements and find your studs before you start drilling into studs. The arm is kinda heavy, but that’s understandable since you need steel to hold +100 lb TV. Once we hung the TV on the arm, it was pretty easy to secure and adjust the hydraulic piston assistance. Yes, it cost more than $400, but I would rather spend the money on a quality mount than find my TV broken on the floor and my wall messed up because I was too cheap.

Tv mount works great
This is a nice tv mount very heavy duty and the pull down is smooth. Did take some time to install but mainly because I wanted it perfect. Was on the pricey side but will definitely last from the looks of it.

Sturdy mount with good function (if your cables are in the right place!)
This mount easily handles my 65" HDTV and allows up/down movement without fear of it breaking or falling off the wall. The assembly and installation were pretty typical for a large TV mount. Neither too complicated nor really easy. Follow the instructions and it will work. Mounting a wide soundbar required a little DIY engineering, but there are additional kits for that sold by the manufacturer. For the price, they should be included. One thing you must pre-plan for is cabling location. Most home-builders seem to install the electrical receptacles and cable/internet receptacles perfectly centered, in exactly the spot one would mount a TV. This is has been true for me in multiple houses, over the fireplace mantel and on bedroom walls. The wall mounting plate is large and sturdy and the pivot mechanism is mounted to it in the center (only). While the mounting plate has big cut-outs for your cabling on either side of center, you are out of luck if your outlets are *exactly* where you need to mount the TV. You get a little wiggle room vertically, depending on how you mount the rails to the back of the TV, but not the 6-8" required to clear the outlets. You will be faced with the choice of mounting the TV in a non-ideal location or re-running your power, video, and ethernet cables. So, if you are sure you are going to choose this mount, make sure you or your builder/installer puts the outlets ~10" right or left of the center of where your mount will attach to the wall. I had to re-run my power cable through my AV conduit - not ideal. I really like the mount, but because the center section is solid, the cables were way more work than I had anticipated.

Does the job
It took my wife and I four hours to install. So like many other reviews state, be ready to spend time installing. Instructions could be improved if hardware packet numbers didn't have inconsistencies with the instructions and if the instructions stated the allen wrench or socket size for each step. Adjusting the tension, one of the last steps, is really hard. You're gonna feel like you're doing it wrong or that it isn't working, but eventually the tension adjusts and your tv can stay lowered without the safety bolt. It's a 1/2" socket. It definitely pulls the TV off the wall a good bit, which is great if you have a deep mantle, but not ideal if your mantle is less than 8" deep. The TV is further away from the wall when in the up position, than I would prefer. Overall, it works great, is very substantial, does what is says it does and you can't see the mount when the TV is in the up position.

Does what is says it will do with ease!
Wonderful! This mount does all it claims to do easily. Yes it is a little costly but I think in the long run it will hold up and be worth every penny spent!

Very well built
I'm very pleased with this purchase. I ordered this so that I could lower my TV, previously it was on a fixed mount above our fireplace. It was very easy to install. The instructions are clear, all the parts are well labeled. You could mess up the installation, but it would be difficult. It is a very well built unit. The parts are heavy duty, the powder coating on my unit is flawless. My one caution is to loosely install your cables then carefully check them as you move the mount up and down, and angle it before you fully secure them. There are a couple of points where you could pinch your cables if you're not careful.

An (almost) complete waste of time and money
This product does NOT work on our Samsung TV. Of course, we weren't able to figure that out until after taking down the TV from its old mount and then spending hours trying to affix the sound bar that won't fit because the stupid rails shipped with the mount are not long enough. Of course, we had already mounted the wall bracket and damaged the wall before we figured this out, so now what doe we do? Buyer beware: this does NOT work with all TVs. There should be a list of incompatible TVs or a compatibility listing on the description. Very disappointed in this product and, even if it did work, it's WAY overpriced for a simple frame and a single hydraulic cylinder.

Excellent!
Excellent product and transaction. Does the job on a 65” LG OLED TV. The pressure cylinders must be adjusted for the weight of the TV and a deluxe Bose sound bar. The sound bar had to be zip tied to the lower handles (a perfect fit) as the sound bar had no screw holes for mounting.

MUY RECOMENDABLE SI TIENES LA TV ENCIMA DE LA CHIMENEA Y QUIERES BAJAR SU ALTURA. HEMOS RECIBIDO EL PRODUCTO EN TIEMPO Y EL MONTAJE HA SIDO SENCILLO Y HA QUEDADO PERFECTO. SE VE MUY SÓLIDO Y LAS PRUEBAS ESTAN SIENDO GENIALES, EN ESTABILIDAD Y FACILIDAD. ESPERAMOS QUE CON EL TIEMPO SE MANTENGAN LOS MUELLES EN BUEN ESTADO Y SIGAMOS TENIENDO ESTA BUENA VALORACIÓN.

Works good, feels a little wobbly when moving the tv, it’s definitely sturdy but they could have used thicker mounting brackets that attach to the TV. Other than that I’m happy with it. Only thing you have to watch for is how far out your mantle comes, mine is 16 inches so we had to mount the TV almost to the ceiling so the arm could extend all the way down. We just keep it down all the way. 75” 85lb TV mounted

I'm looking at a mount that right now is having my TV hit the ceiling. Follow the instructions at your peril. I meticulously followed the instructions and each measurement, drilled massive holes in my wall and after 5 hours of construction the TV hit the ceiling which it should have been 1.75" away from it. I was able to lower the TV by an inch while it was up by shifting the brackets on the back of the TV, not "officially supported but the only way to do it without redrilling holes as they offer now actual vertical adjustment option, and it still hit the ceiling. So 2.75" off, no vertical adjustment provided other than start again from square one. Brutal design. Several errors and inconsistencies in the instructions do not help. For example, 2.1 says" measure...to the bottom of the TV/sound bar". The image on the left has the measurement going to the bottom of the TV (but not the handle which also has to clear the mantel) whereas the image on the right has it going way below the handle. 2.2 and 2.4 say to use the "lower wall plate holes" however both images clearly show to the bottom of the bracket and not the holes. A $75 Ikea shelf has better instructions than this. I'll decide tomorrow whether to package the hole thing up and return it (painful) or go through the hassle of removing it and then guessing how much lower it needs to go (also painful).
