Easy way to add some flavor and body to lower-age whiskey
These chips provide an easy and affordable way to add some additional flavor and body to whiskies that are lower-age. I started with a small sample of a barrel-proof bourbon that I really like, but it's also fairly young (~4 years). After 3 to 5 days with a few wood chips added, the bourbon picks up some additional oak and toasted oak flavors and it made the body feel slightly thicker. The photos I used for this review are from a slightly larger sample that I started and used more chips. The bourbon picked up a noticeable amount from the oak in just a couple days.

Delivers a perfect bourbon flavor.
Delivers a classic bourbon flavor profile of vanilla, caramel and just a hint of salted butter with a touch of sweetness. The aging process took about two months to get the change in taste I was working toward. Makes a great double oaked bourbon.

Bought by mistake, can't return it.
Costed almost twice than others, they are darker than expected and can't return them. Edit: they are good. Toasting is great 👍
