LD22 v2.0 800 Lumen Penlight Sized Flashlight, Schwarz

I've been using Fenix lights for many years now, starting with the L1T back in 2010. I have never had a problem with any of their lights which is why they are my go to brand. The LD22 v2 can be powered by conventional AA batteries, which makes it ideal for emergencies, as batteries are easy to obtain. This is the reason I bought this light as all of my others are Li-ion powered. The torch comes supplied with a Li-ion battery. The battery has a USB-C port on it for charging, Fenix supply a USB-A to C charge cable with it. Using the supplied battery, the torch can operate on it's maximum setting of 800 lumens. This mode is very bright, but only suitable for short bursts. Operating at this brightness level, the torch generates a lot of heat, so the torch will decrease brightness after a couple of minutes to save it overheating. The torch is also capable of using a pair of AA batteries, alkaline or NiMH rechargeable. Using these batteries, you lose the 800 lumen mode, with maximum brightness now at 350 lumens. This is still very bright and suitable for most tasks. My intention is to run this light using Panasonic Eneloops as this is a backup light for me. I have other Fenix lights that are much brighter. Operation of this light is very straightforward. A firm press of the tailcap switch turns the light on and off. A half press of the tailcap allows for the light to be turned on momentarily, with the light going off as soon as you release the switch. Handy when you need a short burst of light, or signalling. There is side switch near the top of the head. This is used to cycle through the different brightness levels. The torch will remember the mode selected, so will come on at that brightness level. This side switch is also used to access the 2 hidden modes, strobe and SOS. With the light on, press and hold the side switch for strobe. Press the button again for SOS. Holding the button again will return the torch to normal mode, as will switching the light off.

Bought this before researching alternatives in depth. Then gave it away. I don't like (explosive) rechargeables so I can't get 800 lumens out of this - if I remember correctly, it produces max 350 lumens via non-rechargeables. Now I'm using Olight i5T Plus which is another 2x AA battery torch, except it's half the price and twice as bright when powered by non-rechargeables (up to 550 lumens). Much better than the Fenix I think. Although I haven't compared runtimes in depth.

Très bon produit. Son seul défaut : éclairage deux lumens faiblard Autonomie plus faible que la e20 v2. Par contre, les caractéristiques techniques sur la boîte reçue et le mode d emploi dans la boîte n est pas en cohérence notamment sur la ligne de l accu Par exemple, sur les sites pour deux lumens, il est indiqué 220h. Sur la boîte reçue, 319h.... Plusieurs mentions sont erronées sur la même ligne.... Lequel dois t on suivre ? Sinon très bonne lampe et bon éclairage.

This is probably the 5th ld22 i have purchased. My job is rough on everything and i wouldnt carry any other flashlight.

Leicht, handlich, super Verarbeitung, gute Leistung und Akkulebensdauer. Positiv anzumerken ist die Möglichkeit, die Lampe mit zwei AA-Batterien zu betreiben - musste persönlich aber noch nicht darauf zurückgreifen. Im Turbo Modus wird die Lampe sehr warm, aber den sollte man eh nicht über längere Zeit benötigen. Klare Empfehlung für Leute, denen Flexibilität und Kompaktheit wichtiger ist als besonders hohe Leistung.

Trage diese Lampe mit einem zusätzlichen Rotlichtfilter täglich spazieren. Leicht bedienbar, Akku sehr groß und mit USB-C schnell aufgeladen, Lichtmodi intuitiv wechselbar und mit brauchbaren Etui geliefert. Hell genug für alles, dimmbar genug um ewig zu laufen. Kaufen, hab es im Angebot für 42 geschossen, meine 2. von den Lampen ohne irgendwelche Probleme
