I'm happy with the performance of these speakers as replacements for the ones in my SoundSticks. The job of replacing the them is a little fidgety, as the Brits would say, but quite doable. When dealing with the old speakers, I detached the magnets for some future use. Be careful not to get your fingers between two of these things. A bit of the skin on my finger got pinched between two of the magnets and it was necessary to use a screwdriver to force them apart to free my finger. Yeah, these are very powerful magnets.

Got these for my strawberry imac g3. they don't specify they worked for this machine, but they do. overall i can't complain but there are definitely pros and cons to these speakers. while not perfect, they are pretty much the only option for some devices as harmon kardon discontinued the actual replacement speakers a long time ago. pros: 1. they are not overly expensive, which is good. 2. they sound good enough, while nothing compared to the original harmon kardon drivers in the imac dv originals they do bring an old computer back to life with sound. cons: 1. they sound a bit anemic compared to the original imac g3 dv speakers. the drivers are not as deep in base and can get a little distorted the louder they are turned up. 2. the installation of the speakers was kinda tricky as you needed to support the speakers enough to even close the box the speakers fit in. the drivers are a lot smaller in the back and depth.

Harmon Kardon Soundsticks fans. This is your best option. These fit great, sound great. And the hardest part was getting the acrylic case open they fit perfectly and snapped right in. Excellent!!

Some reviews showed the use in the JBL creature satellites, and the listing references JBL in general. What could possibly go wrong? I beige speake in the picture is the original speaker in mentioned Creature satellites. The size difference is significant. Sure the new speaker is smaller and from a space perspective fits with lots of room. I could have made it fit, but it didn’t feel right as there speaker doesn’t even fit in the opening. The latter is for a 37mm diameter speaker, and these potential replacements about 3 mm smaller. You’ll need glue and a spacer to properly stay in place. The speakers came well packaged and arrived damage free.

I bought these to replace the speakers in my Soundsticks II. They look exactly like the originals and fit perfectly into the soundstick case. But the sound is so tinny and lacking any depth that they are unusable. I will have to keep looking since Harmon Kardon doesn't sell these anymore.

I have had my Harmon-Kardon Soundsticks II for just over 15 years. I realized one of the speakers was blown in the volume control unit. I replaced all 4 with these and it made me realize how good these used to sound. I immediately ordered 4 more for the other side because now that I had a fresh set in the one side it made me realize how poor the other side sounded. Are they “like new” sounding? Maybe not but I can’t remember what they sounded like 15+ years ago and they sound WAY better than they did with a blown speaker. No complaints bringing this fun set of speakers back for just under $55.
