I never had an electronic drum set. I got so much better than I was 30 years ago when I played in a working rock band. The different settings are great. One thing, which may come with more expensive units, is that the drums and cymbals and the floor tom are not the same volume as the other pads. Floor tom too low, cymbals: too loud, but I put pots on each component and it is perfect now. I feel like I have advanced a thousand fold in just a week.

This is definitely a kid's set. I'm a 6 foot dude, and I was unable to find a set up that worked comfortably for me simply due to it's size. If you're 5 foot 8 or shorter, there may be a comfortable set up. I ordered this for my 10 year old who's been wanting a kit for years, but because we live in a 2nd floor apartment building, I have been apprehensive to getting one until this one. It's incredibly easy to set up, and even easier to adjust as far as heights and angles. The kit is fully electronic, and comes with 12 different kits to jam with. The style's range from electronic music to heavy metal, and each style is very distinct and easy to identify. There is no speaker, but you can plug in any 3.5mm headphone. I think the best thing about this set is that because the only "tech" that needs power is the interface board, it can literally be ran with a portable battery pack plugged into it. And it works great. The USB-C power option gives it so much flexibly and allows the kit to be taken to more places, and because the kit is so easy to fold, it's a huge relieve when you need to move it to make space or just want to put it away as punishment. The 1 complaint I could make about this drum set is that the screens used as the toms, resonate so well that it'll actually send those vibrations through the kit's support and vibrate onto the floor - which our downstairs neighbor so karenly voiced at us. SO, although this kit is fully electric, it does create enough resonance to vibrate the floor it sits on. However, we've been able to stop the complaints by putting some foam pads I got from costco under the kit so that my 10 year old can go back to being creative instead of playing fortnite.

Was easy to assemble and my daughter was playing right away. She’s a little over 5’ and it’s very comfortable for her. Would probably be too small for someone over 5’5”. Sounds great and has lots of options without being overly complicated. Comes with headphones, which is great so I don’t have to hear the noise as she’s learning. If you want to use it without headphones, it’s easy to hook up to an external speaker with a 6.35mm cable.

I bought this product for my grandkids for Christmas. They love the drums and the parents don’t have to hear it unless they take the headphones off and use the amplifier (purchased separately). The only issue they have had with it so far is that one of the pedals doesn’t work. My son has the information and is working on getting it replaced. The kids love the drums and the sound with the headphones is really impressive. For a bit more money I got them an amplifier ( parents request) so they can play the drums and piano together.

Purchased for Christmas for my 2 year old. Wanted to get her used to having access to a decent electronic drum set. The Throne is a little tall for her, even at its lowest level. So if I had to guess she should grow into it in the next 2 years. But I already anticipated that. The level of quality that you get for this insanely low price is astonishing. My daughter loves banging away and learned the module controls within 10 minutes. She was surfing through the many built in drums and testing out all of the interesting sounds. Especially the more far out there kits. I'm super happy with this purchase. I actually moved the kit to her playroom along with my Roland drum set and we play side by side. It's amazing to bond over this. Thanks Donner for making electronic kits accessible without spending hundreds while not sacrificing quality.

Easy set up. My 7 year old did it mostly himself. Make sure headphones are plugged into the phone port. I couldn't figure out why I had no sound for a bit lol.

No actual written instructions, just pictures, so took me a bit to set up, but everything you need is included. It’s super cool and through the headphones, sounds like the real deal. Parts are well made and durable but not for very little kids due to tech side of it. Could work as a practice set for teens but the set is small. The stool worked fine for me. I weigh 114 lbs. I had fun playing it! It has recorded songs you can accompany (mostly jazz, some rock). I’m excited to gift this to my grandson turning 9. He’s going to love it! I 😉
