Fisher Snack Lightly Salted Dry Roasted Peanuts, 22 Ounces (Pack of 12), No Artificial Colors or Flavors

Over the last couple of years we have enjoyed the flavor of the Fisher's nuts over Planters. Sometimes the Fishers are more difficult to find, so being able to buying the larger jars by the case has been great. We also wanted the lightly salted dry roasted version which made it even more difficult to locate. We have been very happy with this purchase.

I bought this because the listing and the label say "Lightly Salted Dry Roasted Peanuts", which is what I want. When I tasted them, they were awful and clearly not natural. I looked at the ingredients and it turns out that they are full of sugar, chemicals, and other artificial flavours. I was very disappointed because the label "Lightly Salted Peanuts" implies that they would just be peanuts and salt. It turns out that the ingredients are buried in the Amazon description, so I guess it's my fault for not reading every inch of the lengthy web page, but bad on Amazon for not putting up a picture of the label, and bad on description, but Fisher for calling these candied nuts by a name that implies salt and peanuts.

For whatever reason, we have been having difficulty finding these peanuts in stores. I'm very particular and like that the Fisher nuts are not oily or greasy. I found a case of 12 on Amazon and couldn't be more thrilled.

I think I would try sea salt the next time.

We love these dry roasted peanuts. They are great for snacking and are convenient to keep in my desk at work.The nuts are lightly salted and slightly seasoned. Though no one particular flavor stands out more than another, they lean much more to a savory flavor than a sweet. If you are looking to add these to a sweet recipe, they may affect the test (there is onion and garlic powder in there), but they would work fine in a savory recipe.The jar that the nuts come in is plastic, so no need to worry about breakage, especially when the kids are taking then out of the pantry.

I like peanuts a lot and chose to try this because Planters left too much chaff in theirs. No chaff here but this was disgusting (I don't throw up easily but it crossed my mind when I tried this stuff; much like eating seasoning cubes or powder right out of the packaging). Peanuts don't need to be seasoned like meat; anything beyond salt is an overkill, IMO. If you want to try it anyway, do just 1 instead of a pack of 12 like I did because you can't return them. Now, I have to figure out how to dispose of 11.99 bottles of inedible peanuts.
