I am very happy with this engraving tip! It works exactly as described and the quality is great for the price. I especially appreciate that the size fit my Cricut Joy Xtra perfectly without any issues. Overall, this is a good value for the money, especially since it comes with the extra blank tags. It’s a solid 5 star addition to my crafting tools that gets the job done!

I decided to give this little aftermarket attachment a try and so glad I did. I first tested it on the supplied bone tag with recommended settings that came with it and as you can see from pictures it worked perfectly. Next I tried it on a small 2mm thick piece of acrylic I had laying around. I set it for foil and then heavy cardstock with more pressure and inserted the engraving tool in the holder with it raised up a tiny bit. ( I placed the included bone tag edge between the top of the holder and the bottom lip of the engraving tool). This method seems to give a perfect etching to the acrylic. So glad I purchased this tool and I highly recommend for anyone wanting to engrave tags or acrylic pieces. ( acrylic must be 2mm or less thick to fit under the roller)

Love it but the instructions are HORRIBLE! Ended up having to go online and search for how this was supposed to work.

This engraving tip works beautifully in the Cricut Joy & Joy Xtra machines. I feel it engraves more smoothly & cleanly than the Cricut engraving tips I use in my larger Cricut machines. I also loved that the tip came with numerous blanks to play with. It was fun experimenting with these blanks before I used the tip in a project that I was making as a gift. The only thing to remember is DO NOT use this tip on a Cricut machine that is still under Cricut warranty. Using any non-Cricut brand tip or tool with your Cricut machines automatically voids the warranty. So, this tip is fabulous IF your Cricut Joy/Joy Xtra is over a year old (or if you got an extended warranty -- when that warranty expires).

I’ve tested on shrink plastic and the aluminum tags that came with it. To centralize the words for the aluminum, just have to upload the shape (screen cap in seller picture) with the given dimensions and “draw it with a pen”. Just have to cancel the action after the engraving/foil action.
