Put these on Subscribe&Save already Amazon. What are you waiting for?!?!?! DELICIOUS!
Perfect. I never knew I needed these in my life until I took my first bite. These chips resemble potato chips, but taste so much better. These little round chips are crisp, light, gently salted and not oily at all! They actually stole me away from pop chips! Yes, yes they did. The fact is that pop chips, while tasty are really a completely different snack with tons and tons of ingredients... and just not as satisfying as these. Wickedly Prime Plantain Chips have just 3 ingredients: Plantains Palm oil Salt That's it! So simple! Nutritionally they are decent as well. Just 150 calories for a 1 ounce serving, which, since they are so light, turns out to be a pretty decent handful of 40 chips!!! AND these chips are pretty consistently not broken. Even though they are thin and light, they tend to end up almost lining up in the bag in rows instead of being completely scattered. I think because they come out cooked flat, they sit in the bag nicer and just don't crumble all up like potato chips tend to do. They taste just a tiny bit on the sweet side, with a mild banana aftertaste that is very pleasant. For me they are point on in the salt area. I want them to be salty without being mini salt licks, and they do that for me. I find them very satisfying alone or accompanied with something else. I also do sometimes put chips in my sandwich and I can totally do that with these... so win! The big negative for me is that these are, at the time of this review, not available through Amazon's Subscribe and Save. I would really love to have these on auto-ship as I know that I am going to want to order these again and again.

Good value, great chips!
Excellent value, Excellent product! I'm very pleased with this purchase. The bags are full of chips that taste great, and the bags are of decent size. Compared with the plantain chips I usually buy, these are a better deal. The chips have a nice crunch, but aren't hard on the teeth. Lightly salted, but still plenty of salt to make them just right. I will definitely be buying again!

Excellent product…
I’ve been ordering these for years. Thin, crispy, non-gmo, gluten-free, perfectly salted and only 3 ingredients. Last 2 boxes ordered in July 2025 have a best before date of April 2026.

As close an alternative to potato chips as your gonna get
Got a case of these for the holidays and I am really satisfied with the taste as well as texture of these chips. Thinly sliced and just the right amount of salt make these an irresitable snack. It took a lot of willpower just to keep myself from eating the whole bag while watching a movie with my family. Quick note, these are made from green plantains not ripened plantains so if your a fan of the sweeter taste, you may want to try another flavor.

Light, Thin, Delicious. Not Greasy.
I tried a different brand of plantain chips (in a black bag) and while the taste was fine, I didn't like the thickness or the fact that they felt heavy and greasy. I felt bloated after eating them and could only eat a very few at a time. I was a bit hesitant to order four bags of these, but decided to take the risk and am very thankful I did. They are still quite filling so I have to be careful not to eat too many, however the texture is different - more thin and crispy - than the others I tried, however not too thin, they go amazing with my homemade guac, no breakage while scooping. They are lightly salted so they do stand alone, however I love to use them for dips. If you've never had green plantain chips, they are similar to a small, thick potato chip. The consensus here is that they are a little 'nutty' tasting compared to the average potato chip. They are not sweet or banana flavored, when still green plantains are rather starchy (like potatoes) and these in particular have been cooked wonderfully! My whole family has tried them now and even the ones who don't have to eat them for dietary reasons approve.

OMG we LOVE these!
Even if we were not on paleo/anti-inflammatory and Plant Paradox, these would be great. You can have green plantains because they are resistant starches. Set that aside. We think these taste really great! They are like a thick potato chip, the kettle kind. Enough salt for a really good snacking taste but they are not salty like regular potato chips or pretzels. No hidden salt like corn chips. Low salt. The bag is really full and it’s impossible to eat the whole thing because these are good and thick. If you were starving you might be able to eat 1/4 bag but usually a bag lasts 8-10 trips to the snack cupboard. Easy for traveling. I have used them for crackers with almond butter, jam, apple butter, honey, cheese, salsa, dip etc. I bet they’d make nachos too. They don’t break easily. I have put them on auto order and also sent some to family members. These are wonderful. Don’t hesitate.

Not strongly salted
These plantain clips are a bit thicker than the ones I've been buying, and they're not strongly salted. Neither is an issue for me, but what stops me from really enjoying them is the ones I got were stale. Sigh. I've got a bit of a plantain chip addiction (especially with Newman's Own mango salsa - yum!), and I was hoping these would turn out to be my go-to chip. Wondering whether or not to give them another try...

Literally the best plantain chips I've ever had
I can't have regular potatoes and I have to be careful about what oil is used for fired items and I can say without a doubt that these are the best chips for my allergies. They taste like a perfect mix between McDonalds French fries and a Kellog's Club cracker. I have these on subscribe and save and have them auto deliver every month because I need them for my lunch and for snacks. They are a staple and necessity at this point. They are also such a huge hit with my friends, even ones who have never tried plantain chips say they taste so good. I am not afraid to bring them to parties because I know people will enjoy them. I am not sure what chips are your favorite but if you try these I am confident they will become your new one.
