Very please!!!
These were great!! From the size to the grippyness, and also super sturdy. I'm going to order more for all my bikes.

The choice of threads is good
Nice and wide assuring solid footing. I like that I didn't need to figure out what thread size I have.

Sturdy, easy to install pedals w/ a few caveats
The pedals are solidly built. They're relatively heavy, so probably steel and not aluminum. The blue color leans toward purple, so just keep that in mind if you're trying to match a color on your frame. The pedals are straightforward to install. Without the adapter, the size is 1/2", and with the adapter, it is 9/16".Some caveats:1. The adapter makes the pedals stick out ~1/2" more. My son scraped one of his pedals when he was turning, possibly due to that extra 1/2".2. If you do end up scraping the pedal, the paint comes off (obviously) and you see the silver metal that's underneath. This isn't an issue with black plastic pedals, so something to keep in mind.

1/2" pedals that work well and won't break the bank.
These pedals were purchased to replace plastic pedals on a Mongoose(Pacific Cycle) dept store bike.1/2" pedals come in one of two categories; cheap and plastic or expensive and alloy. These particular pedals combine the best of both worlds, cheap and alloy. These are great replacements for use on one-piece 'Ashtabula' cranks found on older bikes and dept store bikes. Don't expect $140 performance from $14 pedals, but you can improve on them.Like all cheap pedals(plastic or alloy) bearing preload is often too tight, and will not freely spin. This can be easily adjusted for better performance.*Only perform this modification if you or your mechanic is capable of such work, I take no responsibility for you or your mechanics actions.*Remove the plastic end cap,Remove the small lock nut,Remove the crush washer,Using a flathead screwdriver, or pick, loosen the second preload nut ~1/8 turn(there isn't room for a normal socket on the preload nut inside the pedal).Re-assemble as per factory and test.Pedal should spin freely with no slop/clunk. Verify the lock nut is properly installed wrench tight. If adjustment is too tight/loose, readjust/reassemble/retest until pedal rotates smoothly/freely.Pedals shall be installed onto cranks wrench tight. Recheck after ~100 miles for safe/correct operation.Pedal axles will NOT self tighten through use, they MUST be wrench tight before riding.TL;DRGood price for good alloy pedals that may be a bit tight but can be adjusted for smooth rotation. If you need 9/16" pedals, I would suggest looking at proper 9/16" pedals. Adapters work fine but the pedals are really old school(BMX/Cruiser) loose ball bearing type for 1/2" tapped cranks.

Well done.
Pedals are sturdy. Well done. Ideal for a mountain bike but not for hard terrain at all. They don't have much grip"dots" but pretty good for flat, paved easy trails.

My rubber pedals broke instantly. Metal was definitely the way to go.
I had some rubber based pedals on my bike and they broke pretty quick on my mountain bike leaving me with just stumps. Thankfully these did not.Very smooth and easy to attach. Self assembly is quite easy and is very easy to determine which screw size is better. Color is constant despite weathering. Despite being slick they maintained grip under slippery circumstances and shoes. Still work very well after a few months (longer than my rubber ones!).

Heavy duty and great price
The price was right and I installed them on my kids bike. Insulation was a breeze and the grip is perfect for what I was looking for. Definitely pretty heavy duty so they should last.
