Great tool

This is a set of metric thread taps, including a simple tap wrench. The taps are just fine. The wrench needs a square recess at the bottom of the jaws, to engage the square part of the tap shank. As delivered, you can't tighten the collar enough to tightly grasp the tap, which is a problem if you are threading something that requires more force than you can exert with this setup. In that case, the tap just slips/spins in the jaws of the wrench. This isn't a problem if you're tapping thin or soft material. In my case, I was clearing the threads of an M8 tee-nut.

Worked amazingly, I was able to re-tap my lawnmower so I could reattach the cover for the pullstart. Very easy to use, just get some tapping fluid.

Spend the money and buy a nice set. My issue is the tap bit itself does not stay in the handle. I tightened it at tight as possible and when I go to begin tapping, the bit starts to spin when any pressure is put on it. It will not tap. Do not buy this product if you actually want to tap anything.

Taps work ok for clearing an existing thread. Would use a different style tap on a new thread or to remove old bolt etc. plus the tap wrench didn’t fit the 8mm tap. Wrench is to small.

Sometimes no matter how careful you are, you damage starting threads in an engine. Using this was an easy way to repair them.

2 stars because I did manage to tap a few M5 in aluminum. Tap handle is a toy. It's just slits that were full of burrs, not sliding pieces like a real tap holder. I cleaned the burrs but it is very stiff for the largest and smallest taps, and doesn't hold them square since it has a round opening like a collet instead of square like a real tap holder.
