Excellent!!!
The Incal is a classic fascinating sc-fi story by Alejandro Jodorosky and illustrated by Moebius. This special edition is just beautiful. The size and print quality is outstanding. A must have for any fan of Moebius or Jodorosky.

Amazing comic but boxset packaging was destroyed
Book is awesome, love the deluxe set. Unfortunately, I received my box set package destroyed even when it was in the shrink wrap.

Worthy edition if you want to read Incal
As one of those weird Moebius collectors, I now own four different editions of Incal (all in English): - starting with the newest (2022) Deluxe oversized edition in rigid sleeve, then the previous oversized edition from 2020 or 2019, also in rigid sleeve, published in the same "oversized" format about 12.5" tall, but noticeably thicker (by about 50%) because it uses thicker-stock matte paper, but with less durable glossy hardcover with Metabaron spaceship on it, then the "normal"-format hardcover, and lastly, a set of giant coffee-table-sized 16" tomes, with each Incal story in its own tome, published in 2012, limited to 900 and published on best available matte stock paper (to do artistic justice to the coloring without detracting glossy reflections...) So, my brief review will be informed by that: Glossy paper in the current Deluxe edition makes the book more vibrant, and heavier, while thinner. In reality, the best edition to actually read is probably the "normal" one as in the larger "oversized" format, the drawings lose their page coherency. Strangely, this does not occur with the coffee-table book, but I think this weird phenomenon has to do with the line thickness relative to the page. The thinner-scaled line in "normal" edition makes overall drawing layout more intelligible, but in the latest oversize edition, the lines are ... a tad too contrasty / black, making the drawings a little too busy. Still, if you got no other edition already, this is the edition to have, for sure! There was also a recent "oversized" edition in Black and white, and I highly recommend the deluxe edition over that B&W edition, as the artistic intent in B&W is getting lost (the coloring was done at the direction of Moebius and therefore represents his artistic intent). Hope this helps! Cheers!

Slight shipping damage, otherwise perfect
some slight damage to the corner of the outer box, seemingly because the package was only bubblewrapped on one side, but everything else in perfect condition

I like Jodorowsky's films but... what is so special about The Incal? It's a pretty dumb story with dumb dialogue and weird ugly characters. The drawings by Moebius are sometimes impressive and he has a unique style for sure but... eh. Not my cup of tea overall. It was actually pretty tedious to get through and I found myself forcing myself to complete chapters just so I could get to the end of the book and move onto something hopefully better. At no point did I find it poignant or emotionally impactful. It was just one "crazy" scenario after another. It was probably an inspiration for the fifth element film and given how superficial and vacuous that film was, it makes sense.
