Professional Grade Black Chrome New Mechanics Tool Set (Socket Set-229 Pieces)

I bought this STANLEY Black Chrome tool set back in 2020, and it still looks brand new after years of heavy use. The finish hasn’t faded, the ratchets work smoothly, and the case keeps everything perfectly organized. Excellent quality and durability — truly worth it!

I had this Stanley tool set in my wish list for about 3 months and finally decided to pull the trigger on it once they went on sale. I was pleasantly please once i received the set. Top notch stuff and they look pretty. I bought them for aviation maintenance school and got a bunch of compliments from a lot of other students when i pulled them out to overhaul landing gear struts. So many of my classmates and the instructor inquired about where to purchase after using my ratchets and feeling the quality in hand. I love that the labeling is so easy to read. This is a complete set that i'll have for a long time to come!!

This is a really nice tool set but as other reviewers commented the box does not hold the pieces very well. when you open the box up , one side has pieces falling out. It is the same when you go to close the box up. The side of the box that does not contain the Allen wrenches and the rachet drives is the side that loses pieces when you open and close the box. The side with the rachet drives does not have this problem on my set. If you are storing the tools in a roller cabinet none of this is really an issue. This set would get a 5 star rating if the case held all the pieces in place when it is opened and closed. The finish is great, the tools seem well made - I have no other problems with the set.

This set almost has all the tools you need especially for german cars. The 229 pieces are mostly sockets unlike other tool sets that have this many pieces but they are like 200 bits and only 29 sockets. Most notable, is the hex sockets, torx sockets, and never found in any tool set E torx( External Torx aka Female Torx). I have 2 Mercedes SUVs and I can fix 95% of the cars with this tool kit. Quality is superb and the black chrome has very bright markings to see the sizes.

I use it all the time. Has every size and is very durable. Completely satisfied.

Bought this 5 years ago. A ratchet went bad recently. Called Stanley and they replaced it. Highly reccomend. Tools still going on strong

Great set for the money. Picked it up on sale. Has pretty much everything I need.

Bought this to replace a full Maximum set that was stolen. Ratchets are sturdy and good quality. The set has a vast selection of tool options from full imperial and metric sockets, to philips/roberts/torque screw driver bits, and a full array of allen keys/wrenches. Only thing missing from my last set is a set of wrenches.

Works well, case could have better closing mechanism.

This socket set works very well and is a very good value-to-money ratio. With Stanley's lifetime warranty this kit is a great purchase. Unforatetly in my situation the 3/8th rachet in the kit sized completely after using is a total of 3 times. Currently waiting for support to message me back but they will be dealing with it. I thought this would be a great kit and look cool with the black chrome sockets but 1. the sockets and tools don't really like to stay in the plastic case very well over time and 2. the black sockets scratch and look shitty very fast. I'd recommend going with a chrome set, not black chrome.
