Is it compatible with mac?

It is silent and it is compatible, but it prevents your Mac from sleeping. Sometimes it even prevents from entering screensaver mode. This red LED is restless and the my iMac (2017 27") reads it as if you're wiggling the mouse to wake up the screen. The workaround I use is: after choosing the "Sleep" command, I immediately turn this mouse on its side. But the red LED will still go on and off randomly the whole night. This might be a deal breaker for you.

How long is the usb cable?

The USB cable is about 57 inches (1.45 meters). And it's silent designed, so quite suitable for office and home use.
