Hasbro Gaming Scattergories Board Game

Great game. Perfect for a party.

We love Scattegories and have played it for several years. My daughter wanted to get her Grandmother and also her cousins something for Christmas; something that would allow them to spend more time together so she thought about purchasing a board game that they could play together. This game is great to play as individuals or with teams. We usually play using teams if the children are under second grade (wriiing slows them down). We’ve played with teammates as young as 3 years old. You’d be amazed at some of their spot in answers. The game came quickly and my daughter can’t wait for them to open their gifts.

This game reminds me of my childhood days because it’s very similar to a game we used to play. This games makes you think fast and can play with any number of people. Awesome game! A must to have!!

Great gift

I played this when I was a kid and it's still a great game if you only have 30 minutes to spare. In 30 minutes you can easily get in 3-4 rounds of brain busting fun. This game is really about trying to mentally out maneuver your friends by coming up with words starting with whatever letter the die at the beginning of the round gave you that are unique enough to answer the prompt that no one else has thought of it. If no one else thought of your answer you get a point and so on down the prompt card each round. If your answer is the same as someone else's you both cross it out and lose that potential point. What I love about this game is the creativity in answers and how far you can bend the rules. We always play that the group votes on whether your answer is valid or allowable since it always gets a little fuzzy as the game goes on and our competitive nature picks up. It's a mental gymnastic type of game that is face paced and frustrating but over all lots of fun and laughs with a good group. A real classic that has great replayability.

I bought this to play with my wife and 11 year old daughter. I loved this game as a kid, and neither of them had played it. They couldn't put it down the first night and enjoy a few rounds after dinner. Very glad I bought this. It's very simple and quick, unlike some other games. It's a great way to avoid electronics and have some family fun.

I finally bought one for myself after gifting to several people! It's an awesome game that always brings some form of laughter. If you are like me and have played older versions of this game, the die included in this version doesn't have 26 letters. It excludes q, u, v, x, y and z. This doesn't diminish the fun at all. You can always use one of the online Scattergories die available, if you want to play with those letters.

I really liked this game as it worked my brain and was great for our 7 year old and our 74 year old.
