Not the heaviest duty, but one of the few out there that provides a polarized plug outlet. I installed new lighting in the garage and wanted to use the existing light socket and switches to power them vs putting in a new junction box.

Light socket Outlet Adapter - did the trick!
I wanted to hang additional lighting (LED 8 foot light strips) in my basement but did not want to hardwire them in. These took care of the problem. I was able to screw the socket outlet adapter into the original light socket and plug the LED lights into those. Worked perfect!

Garage - Do Not Buy
These adapters are garbage. They are cheaply made and I don't think they are safe for use. The base isn't attached firmly enough to the body, and as such as you screw it in the base will stick in the socket, and the body of the adapter will keep turning. I was wondering why it took so many turns and why I wasn't getting power. To the seller's credit, they did issue a refund quickly. Don't buy these, save your money and find another option or install an actual outlet if you can.
