GAINWELL Safe Metal Helix BBQ Grill Clean Brush - 3 Brushes in 1

Hello fellow grill lover.I suspect that you came upon this product (or product like it) for the same reason I did - It purports to be SAFER than a regular grill brush. You heard about regular grill brushes losing their bristles while scrubbing barbecue grates, which in turn found their way into food, which in turn found their way into people. Yikes.I purchased this supposedly safe BBQ grill brush a little over a year ago. It's only been used up to 20 times. Please look at the attached pictures for a visual of what went wrong - the loops of metal that are tightly wound and crimped as a "safe" alternative to common grill brush bristles are breaking and coming off. Not much force. Not much usage.I stopped using the product after seeing the little broken rings left behind on my grill. They're sharp, curved and just waiting to be camouflaged against a steak or burger and cause a life-threatening injury...Want a possible punctured lung?A torn trachea?Internal bleeding with a dose of tetanus?Lockjaw? Do you maybe want lockjaw?If you're like me, you do not. Life is hard enough already. And I don't play around with the safety of others. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It should really be pulled from sale for safety reasons.Lastly, there are many false claims made about this product by GAINWELL.GAINWELL: "No worry about bristles coming off into the food, so much safer!"ME: Look at my pictures. Does that look safer? Do those bristles look attached?GAINWELL: "DURABLE AND LONG-LASTING - It won't break, bristles won't fall out, you only need this one BBQ brush to last you years"ME: Look at my pictures. Do those bristles look attached? This happened in LESS THAN A YEAR of MINIMAL USAGE.GAINWELL: "At GAINWELL, we're so confident you'll love this BBQ brush grill that if you don't we'll refund your entire purchase. So order now, you don't have anything to lose!"ME: I do not love this BBQ brush grill (sic). I let you know that my purchase was falling apart and endangering my family. I sent you a picture as proof when you asked. You took days to respond and say you couldn't refund my purchase because it was over a year old. NOWHERE do you mention there is a limit of a year on your confidence. On the contrary, you actually state "Lifetime Service".So how do you trust any GAINWELL product if they sell dangerous products that doesn't last anywhere near as long as they claim and is backed by a false guarantee of customer satisfaction and quality?Goodbye fellow grill lover. Stay safe.

We haven't used this brush a lot and it is already falling apart. Purchased this because it is not supposed to leave behind metal pieces that could get eaten. This is leaving small half Moon shaped metal bits all over the grill when we use and I have found them on my food. Not safe! The little brush is nice though

I ordered this to replace the wire brush I'd been using for my grill after reading an article about how the straight bristles can break off and get stuck to food, and ingested causing BIG problems. This is a quality brush in materials. It will hold up well to use I can tell. Unfortunately it doesn't clean nearly as well as the straight bristle brush.

I would say this doesn’t work as well as a standard brand new bristle brush, but better than a bristle brush once the bristles start folding over.Obviously the trade off here is scrubbing ability vs ingesting a bristle. It’s a worthwhile trade. I think this will last way longer than a brush. It doesn’t deform.

Great grill brush that I'm using on both Stainless and, Porcelin grates. The helix works well to scrape food from the grill grates and, this design has no way of leaving metal shards behind (bristles). The handle and design make this quite easy to handle and, use on the grill.The little rubber brush that came with it didn't influence my decision to buy this but I've found use for it in basting sauces.

I've only used it a few times on my new stainless steel grill grate but it sure works great. I use it when I first get done while the grill is still hot and then I use it again when I scrub the grates. It is large and fairly heavy. A substantial tool.

took a little getting used to, doesn't scrub the way wire brushes do but once you get the angle correct it is far superior. Love it and love that I don't need to worry about pieces of wire in my food anymore . . . also very easy to clean
